I was JUST thinking that! I remember playing the shareware version of Realms of Chaos; came on the Duke Nukem 3D disc if I remember correctly.

Yeah, never got to play the PC platformers back in the day as I only had consoles and their platformers then, so i'm quite curious to see what PC platformers had to offer.

Skunk: No, these are not freeware. They were included with the retail version of Duke Nukem 3D, and perhaps they have been available during magazine promos or the like, but I don't know, but they've been sold for years and they're being sold now.

The price tag came from the 3D Realms online store. Actually, that's a lie. The price they charge is currently twice the price offered on GOG, so be grateful.
This, though of course, there still will be people who will still complain about the price saying that it's "too much" for these games

I'm very grateful for any 3D realms games that come here and are saved and salvaged from the 3Dreams "Store"

I really don't want to burst any bubbles here, but those games weren't exactly good. If you compare them with what came out around the same time, they were actually pretty damn bad.

Is it a bit sad that I never even realised Duke Nukem was ever 2D. I must have only noticed with Duke 3D hit the scenes

I wanted Duke Nukem 2 for 20 years. Now the time has come! Or rather, on the first promo! ;-)

And yes, GOG, publish the other Apogee games! Give people a chance to enjoy Monster Bash, or Commander Keen, or Secret Agent 006 1/2!

It's the same thing for many people as well

Sort of how GTAIII was the first GTA that most people have played

Especially what came out on the Amiga, against most 1993 Dos based platformers Duke Nukem II is on par(ish). Dos based conversions of Amiga games used to sux

Won't buy this, as I've already own it, But hopefully we can get Commander Keen

If you compare them to what was available on other systems (like for example Turrican where they even ripped some sprites from) - yeah, they were pretty bad. But really, I don't think there were many better platform games for DOS available back then except maybe for Commander Keen.

OH MY YES! Keen and Bash would be insta buy and gifted!

Never cared much for DN2, but had some good times with the first game.
