The greatest darkness lies in the devious soul.

[url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/dracula_trilogy]Dracula Trilogy is available FOR FREE for the next five days, with every purchase of Dracula 4: Shadow of the Dragon. It contains the first three games in the horror adventure series based upon Bram Stoker's creations: Dracula: The Resurrection, Dracula: The Last Sanctuary, and Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon. Once the Dracula 4: Shadow of the Dragon launch promo ends on GOG.com on Sunday, July 14, at 9:59AM GMT, Dracula Trilogy will be available for the regular price of $9.99.

Dracula Trilogy continues the story told by Bram Stoker in his original novel. The first two games take place immediately after the events depicted in the book, focusing on Jonathan Harker's attempts to win back his wife Mina, who has fallen under the vampire's seductive curse. The third one takes us forward in time, as we follow a metaphysical investigation in Transylvania, soon after the first World War. With unnerving atmosphere, suggestive visuals, enthralling story, and many challenging puzzles, these adventure games bring us a perfect mix of horror and mystery.

You can get Dracula Trilogy for only $9.99 on GOG.com, but you can also receive it absolutely free with your purchase of Dracula 4: Shadow of the Dragon, the fourth thrilling installment of the series. This amazing offer will only last until Sunday, July 14, at 9:59AM GMT, so don't miss out!
Dracula 4, isn't that the first episodic thing in diguise? Ending with a "to be continued" or something?
Who's this Wolfram_von_Thal guy saying "Vlad Tepes, the Impaler, one of the most ambivalent and cruel characters of slavic history"?! Think that should be "Romanian history" ;) (though he seems to have helped the Bulgarians south of the border, but still :D).

As for the games themselves, I'll pass on this ones. Don't really know yet if adventure games are up my alley yet (have bought some, but haven't tried them yet) and even though they have something to do with Romanian, it's not enough for me to buy them...

this is one of the best releases of this year and for an amazing price. I would definitely pay the same price for just one of them. very good games in my opinion.
I remember playing Dracula: The Resurrection many years ago it was the only "slide-based" adventure game, alongside Myst, that had such a great atmosphere that felt like it was real-time gameplay. I recommend it.

Agreed, I was in the active process of adding the second set of games to my cart when I saw the buy 1 get 3 free promo.... SCORE!
I played part one a while back, the game was confusing but the puzzles weren't as difficult as I expected.

And then I got stuck in Dracula's castle. :p

I do recall that the game made me feel oddly... nauseous. It also ran ridiculously fast. Is that a problem here, GOG?
Seems like a great deal. Heard that the third Dracula game is pretty good.
If it's anything like that crappy frogwares Dracula game I will pass.
While I won't speak to the quality of the games themselves, the attached picture is just sad.

Reviews aren't the place for poor attempts at a joke, people! This isn't Amazon. If you think a review is inaccurate, let the "helpful" vote mechanism do its job and write out a proper review explaining your POV on the product.

Just inverting a review for laughs is just one more reason why we should have a way to report reviews.

Alright! I've got the discs for the first two games lying on the desk in front of me. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, the puzzles are a bit simplistic, though.

Now I'll even get to play the third one! Wishlisted for now, got plenty of other games to play while I wait for a sale on these ones.

Ghorpm: That's good to know. It increases the chance that I will actually buy those games. I'm not sure yet though

triock: Well, I played only the first 2 games, so not sure about the 3rd, but I think it's basically the same.
I believe the second one had a puzzle that would kill you if you failed. Not sure if that qualifies. It was the one stepping tiles puzzle, IIRC.
Wow... you guys at GOG are spoiling us badly! Lots of good games being released this year, lots of discounts and now more and more good releases! I really like that you offer recent good games and good old games without DRM as sometimes I have issues with net and recently I had one too many issue with Steam and I promised myself I won't buy a thing from there. Thanks for bringing us Drucula series - recently I am enjoying the revival of adventure games (The Cat Lady being my favourite for atmosphere and story).

I disagree. This had made me laugh, and it's just one way to say "i love this game" and "i hate this game". The infos are that someone liked all these aspects, someone else disliked them all. The form of expression was fun, and the information would have been the same if the form had been boring.

So.
1+2 I wouldn't say match the story but the others are certainly right in saying they match the mood, which is the best part and one of the reasons they've become a Halloween tradition for me. The third game's interesting - nice atmosphere, and interesting use of symbolism, and the showcase ceremony puzzle at the end was a grand thing, though the ending was a disappointment.
Another my favorite adventure game series. Moment wishlisted, first two games played with psx, and Dracula 3 with PC. Memories :)
