, a dark and disturbing adventure from the makers of [url=http://www.gog.com/game/the_cat_lady]The Cat Lady, with a storyline shifting from nightmares to reality and back in an eyeblink, is available on GOG.com for only $4.99.

[url=http://www.gog.com/game/downfall]Downfall begins in the Quiet Haven Hotel, that was supposed to be a one night shelter for Joe and Ivy Davis. But things soon start to go wrong. Ivy's panic attacks get worse and soon she disappears. In the morning the hotel has changed. Nothing is what it seems anymore. Joe is left alone, trying to understand what is happening, trapped between reality and the nightmare. Seems like the curtain between the mundane world and the twisted realm of horror ruptured, and nothing stands in Joe's defense as the swirling tentacles of darkness reach in to get him. Is there any hope to escape? From writer R. Michalski, creator of The Cat Lady--this is Harvester Games first and well loved adventure game, originally released in 2009. Original music, thousands of lines of dialog and point & click interface provide the perfect 2D adventure - dare you drop in to Quiet Haven Hotel? With strong language, scenes of blood and violence, this game is not suitable for players under the age of 18. MP3 soundtrack included!

Dare to face the unstetteling reality presented with simple means, but great power in Downfall, for only $4.99 on GOG.com.

m0ds: Thanks GOG! And players for their support. We had no intention of bringing Downfall to GOG but you folks did so there it is :) It's exactly the same version as Screen 7 version, 1.4. And yes the trailer is crap, no denying that - there is another trailer out there, this one a little more mind bending - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHGmFxY_vDM. Regards!
No, thank YOU. :)

Novotnus: Played Receptionist's little game? There are some really insane visuals near the end.
Also, PM'd you something :)

JudasIscariot: I am too busy going through the "collect everything not nailed down" phase of most adventure games :D
Looks like we have a future JudasPlays in the making... C'mon, you only did one! :D
Why the hell does this reminds me of 'Hotel California' ?
So can we expect the remake to show up here as well if it ever materializes?

That's up to Screen 7/ Harvester Games but I personally wouldn't turn the remake away :)
glad to see this game released on gog
Five bucks? If Mr. Michalski is going to be so gosh-darned reasonable with his pricing, I'll gladly pay full price!
I wonder if the gameplay problems (mentioned http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/downfall/downfall.htm) still exist?

- Inventory lock - never happened to me in 1.4, but I would wait for more people reporting it being \ not being present
- (not mentioned) Ending bug - eradicated.
- Boss battle (+ mini-boss battle + chase sequence) - it's still there; it's rather easy and it's not really the climax.
- Puzzles - I don't find them really hard; at least one could've been coded a little better (enterance to Z's underground lab).
