If there's a thing more fearsome than a dragon, it's a dragon with a jetpack!

Divinity: Dragon Commander, multi-layered real-time strategy game with a fantastic setting, epic scale, amazing gameplay depth, and many original ideas, is available on GOG.com, for $39.99. You can also get the extensive Divinity: Dragon Commander Imperial Edition for a little more, that is $44.99.

What is Divinity: Dragon Commander? Let us put an image in your head. A giant army rushes into battle. First, the scouts, agile and fast, with their bows always ready. Then the cavalry, blazing on their relentless mounts. Then, the heavy infantry--warriors of all the shapes, sizes, and races with their plate armors sounding with every step like the bells of doom. Right behind them, the battle beasts--horrors bred with one purpose only: destruction. Some of them pulling the ballistas, trebuchets, and other siege machines. Above them, a variety of zeppelins and flying machines ready to spread death from above. And then, suddenly, a great shadow falling over the battlefield. A gigantic winged dragon swooping down at lightning speed, propelled by a jetpack, breathing fire and roaring fiercely. An image sure to strike fear in the hearts of the enemies. You, however, have nothing to fear. This is your army, and you are the Dragon, its commander and Emperor. Can you see it now? Can you grasp the scale of the game? Maybe it's better that you saw it with your own eyes.

Divinity: Dragon Commander realease trailer

Divinity: Dragon Commander allows the player to experience war from many unique perspectives, thus breathing new life to real-time strategy genre. The idea to put the gamer in the role of a Dragon commanding its people (and elves, and dwarves, and undead, and--well, creatures) into battle and even taking part in the combat directly is original enough to make the game phenomenally involving. The people who gave you the acclaimed Divinity RPG series decided however, to add a couple more layers to the gameplay. In the game, you'll get to make diplomatic decisions, manage your empire in an epic world-map mode, and even utilize elements of trading card game mechanics. All that and more, coupled with excellent visuals, peculiar humor, and many available scenarios (single-player and multi-player alike), gives the game a potential to become the next big step in the evolution of RTS genre.

Sink your claws into the biggest chunk of full-blooded fantasy real-time strategy out there, with Divinity: Dragon Commander, for only $39.99 on GOG.com! Please note, that if you decide to upgrade your game to the Imperial Edition, you can do so by acquiring the Imperial Edition Upgrade DLC for only $9.99. You can also start with Divinity: Dragon Commander Imperial Edition for $44.99, and if you were one of the pre-ordering customers, you already have it.

gandalf.nho: I hope the installer is just a quick fix and GOG can provide the codes for the DLC later
This is my impression too. My code unlocked the Imperial Edition too, so probably there has been a mix-up of some sort. Besides, G-Doc already said earlier they'd sort it out and provide a solution. And since Larian providing an installer is not really a solution from GOG, just wait and see what happens.

sebarnolds: I have a question: the game page says English, French and several other languages. But when I select the game in the "My Games" section, the dowload links only mention English and Russian ?

I guess it's a mistake on the download page but I prefer to be sure before downloading the game.
Fact ... It's only english or russian...

Where is the german version as shown in youre shop, gog?

BTW: the downloader does not work properly at all, by now! (connecting)
I see Larian did add an Imperial Edition Addon to the KS manage page on the Vault. Sadly now my GOG version will be regular one.
Is anyone else having trouble downloading the game? The download won't start at all, meanwhile i'm getting 10 mb per second on steam, already regretting buying this on gog.
Sadly it is a windows EXE to download from Larian. :( So no "Imperial" in My Games, and have to boot windows to download the extra content.
I think that maybe it depends on when you've redeemed your code. I did very early this morning before I went to work, and it unlocked the Imperial Edition.

Yeah, this is totally unacceptable, the product page clearly states that the game is in german and french. I've already asked for a refund on their support platform. No response.

It might take them some time to answer, don't forget that it's currently the evening in Poland.
Would have been nice for Larian to issue a code for the add-on here on GOG or cancel the code issued and reissue the Imperial code for GOG. I prefer to download the zipped up music instead of having to run an EXE just to get it extracted. Additionally it is only FLAC from Larian so I need to convert to mp3 to play in the car. Not hard to do, just another hoop to jump through.
Haha, I like how the manual says "Good old games". Subtle jab or innocent typo?
I'm also disappointed. I want it in german language. Where is the german version like advertised on the shopping page?

"Audio and text: English, French, German. Text only: Korean, Russian"

I wonder if GOG will sort it out and update the KS:D.OS users from the standard to the Imperial. They have to know what codes came from where and should have no problem figuring it out.
Not a big fan of Day-1 DLC, unless you count new soundtracks in that area. (There are various new [and it should only be for new] games here that should have their soundtrack sold separately, imo, so people aren't forced to buy it but have the option; that's something I think GOG should copy from Steam.)

BUT this looks like a good game. Still hoping for more good old games (pre-'04 or '05, at least) in the coming weeks, and I'm seeing positive posts from the staff about that. :)

Read it but it annoyed me too much. So I don't have the wish to play it today.
