There is no Director's Cut, it is the Developer's Cut :)

Main difference, you have built in stuff to do what you like (like turning yourself into a dragon)

Ye, DC is a bit misleading to be honest.

Divinity 2 DC is essentially Dragon Knight Saga with a supercharged cheat enabled.
There is a video about the Developer Mode on the D2:DC webpage

Larian is working on a patch for DKS to add the Developer Mode (which is the only difference in D2:DC).

Hmm... Did the artist, who put together the main page banner for this release, deliberately try to make it unclear, where the blood is coming from, and why she's angry?

Angry, sexy women on banners make everything better
I love this game - I bought the German Collector's Edition with statuette even though my German is not THAT good ;) Playing with a dictionary next to me was quite an experience but the game was extremely good.

The only negative I could say, is that the game ends in an odd way. I really didn't expect it and expected the game to last much longer. It takes over half the game before you get your own tower and it seems you barely have a chance to use it properly before it's suddenly "game over". The expansion then sets you in a city and while it's a good expansion, it's very limiting compared to the base game.

Still, these are the only real negatives I can say - it still makes it a very brilliant game and it has many stunning locations (especially the temple).
