Great release, thank you GOG for bringing more of these kinds of games here

Now then, where is Revolver 360?
Still not the droids I'm looking for.
They really want to stretch out those LucasArts releases don't they?

I love a good shmup and I've heard people gushing about this one, but it has to go on the wishlist for now. But, can anyone tell me if you can disable the graphic borders or are they permanent?

Oh god, 5 minutes of the original Revolver on XBLIG made my brain melt.

You can't disable the borders, but if you have a monitor that rotates you can play in a vertical aspect ratio that drastically reduces them.

This is a great game, by the way. And also a good first bullet-hell, for anyone who's looking at this and saying "I couldn't play that."

Ta for that, I do have a rotatable monitor but it's unfeasible in my current setup. Maybe later.

I really do wish devs would stop forcing cluttered border graphics on non widescreen ratio games...

Bullet Hell is not my kind of game, but I really enjoyed MischiefMaker's review, especially the

This is not the kind of game you play to watch pretty movies and be told you're the world's biggest badass because you hit "square" when prompted.
Too true, buddy!

So it might not be for me but I'm always happy to see quality indie's on GOG.

They may do it because of a dislike for black bars.
Bullet hell games tend to put score and other stats in those spaces.

Spread out information in chunky borders isn't helpful (Cave never needed it) and black space makes for less distractions, I never understand how they can't appreciate that some people like their screen simple and clean, it's not like it would be hard to add. It's not just in shooters, 90% of Xbox live retro games are ruined by forced, ugly border graphics.

Even friggin' Ikaruga on PC threw in ugly borders, and that game already had a perfectly good solution to widescreen in the Dreamcast and Gamecube versions.

Interesting, I haven't played many bullet hell games (except Touhou and Jamestown) so I didn't know.
It's kinda weird Xbox Live retro games do that though.

It's even worse on XBL, as many games have truly atrocious border art. For a good example check out Super Contra.

Looks pretty cool! Does it work with an Xbox 360 controller and can it run in a window?

Yes and yes. Works flawless for me and is a blast.
Really, GOG? You're going to release Crimzon Clover today right after the releases you did yesterday? You're making it awfully difficult for me to save my money for the holidays. You're also killing my Steam wishlist. I hope you're happy.

BlackBox7: Holy crap GOG, you guys have been knocking it out of the park with the releases lately.
If they wanna go for a hat trick this week they could release Aces Wild tomorrow!
