Featuring music by Jeremy Soule.

Consortium: The Master Edition, a high-tech Sci-Fi adventure combining RPG and first-person shooter gameplay, is available 40% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.99 for the next 48 hours!

Game One of the iDGi-1 Trilogy. Taking place entirely aboard a massive futuristic aircraft, CONSORTIUM is a first person science-fiction role-playing experience unlike any other. The story begins in our world - the "real world" - where we here at Interdimensional Games have developed a satellite (iDGi-1) capable of opening a digital rift through time and space… Anyone can log on and travel through this rift and awaken within an alternate dimension from our own - the "game world" - in the year 2042.

In Consortium: The Master Edition you'll act as detective investigating an on-board murder, while simultaneously playing peacemaker to a large band of mercenaries who seem to want YOU dead. Or play diplomacy with a smoking barrel, and let the tragedies continue to mount. The story unfolds based largely on your actions. You may use diplomacy and talk your way through the entire game - never shooting anyone! OR, decide to use deadly or non-lethal force. The game features an all original orchestral score by award winning composer Jeremy Soule (available as a bonus MP3 download)!

Step through the digital rift and prepare for one of the most original gaming adventures you've ever had, with Consortium: The Master Edition for only $11.99 on GOG.com. The special 40% release discount offer lasts until Thursday, May 1, at 9:59AM GMT.

IAmSinistar: I may also be adding Escape Goat 2 later once I've had a chance to play it and see what the length is like.

JudasIscariot: I finished it in about 8 hours or so but they felt longer (because of some of the more devious puzzles...) :P if you want my opinion on EG2 :D
Thanks Judas. I think I barely finished the first under the time limit, and it sounds like the second is a larger game, so it probably will fall outside my parameters. :)

Yes, I like to take the average time-to-completion when I can, and it sounds like this one is doable in a day, but something of a long day. :)

Which is not to say I won't play it all in one sitting, if it's as addictive as the first one. And if I happen to whiz through it around the 5 hour mark myself, then I'll qualify it, since I'm hardly the most sterling player out there. :D
This looks pretty cool. A bit of RPGadventure to tide me over till I can figure out how to play Mean Streets.

ReynardFox: Is there no Windows XP support at all? :/
I've looked on a couple of sites and they all say vista/7/8.

My guess is its probably a 4gb memory / 32bit thing over a DX10 requirement since the steam store page has this note:

"Additional Notes: Of the maximum 4GB of addressable memory space on a 32-bit system (2 ^ 32 = 4,294,967,296 bytes = 4GB), Windows reserves 2GB. This leaves any application (such as Consortium) with a maximum of 2GB to play with. During loading, Consortium can allocate up to 1.8GB worth of memory. If you are running Consortium with a 32 bit machine, be sure to close as many other simultaneously running programs as you can, otherwise "out of memory" crashes may occur"

Playing Mean Streets is a doddle. Just started it myself. Just write everything down (especially navigation codes and Character names) and save every time you go to a new location (sometimes theres a gun battle when you leave the car). There's an in-game key reference you get by pressing H when in your car.

gandalf.nho: I backed this, but backers only received Steam keys...
I did back this, and got a DRM free download via humblebundle.
Wishlisted for now, but I've been eying this one. It looks like an interesting game.

Haha, getting ready for Tex Murphy too?

Any tips for surviving the gun battles? I'm terrified of running out of money.

Yep - never did get through them before!

So far the gun battles are pretty easy. Be economical with your shots, and wait for gaps in the gunfire before creeping forward - be patient. It's pretty basic, tbh. If you're in it for the story/puzzles, you can turn the difficulty of the gun battles to easy in the options.
Arg. If only I had some money, right now, I'd probably buy this. Gonna have to wishlist it for now, though. (
UPDATE: This has turned out to be a false alarm. There is nothing to see here, move along. ;)

Hi all,

Got word from the developer:

Please be aware that there is a new version of the game coming that will invalidate in-progress saves. Saves with the game completed will NOT be affected :)

Thank you for reading :)

cw8: Sadly I didn't back this on KS.
Is the game fun?

Crosmando: I backed this during the Kickstarter, got keys for Steam and Humble, haven't played it yet though (it's on my list).

I hope we can get GOG keys too.
I think I´ve read in the Kickstarter comment section that backers won´t get GOG keys, because the DRM-free pormise was kept through offering you Humble Bundle key - same situation like with Broken Age. I suppose they just don´t have that much money left - to pay for key for every backer.
Ah, a Source Engine game on GOG, I never thought it possible!

So... wtf Bloodlines? >_<
