Paranormal investigation with a retro soul.

Blackwell Bundle, four supernatural adventure games from publishers of Resonance in a DRM-free package, is available on GOG.com for only $9.99 (that’s 33% off!) for the next week.

Blackwell is an indie series of retro-style point-and-click 2D adventures consisting of four games: The Blackwell Legacy, Blackwell Unbound, Blackwell Convergence, and Blackwell Deception. The game’s main character is Rosangela Blackwell, who discovers a family secreat after her only relative, her aunt Lauren Blackwell, dies. She’s a medium, and she finds an unlikely friend in the form of Joey Mallone, a sardonic ghost from 1930s. From now on it’s Rosa’s and her new spirit guide’s job to investigate supernatural cases in NYC and set the troubled spirits to rest.

Blackwell Bundle offers everything a classic-adventure fan would ever want from a new release. The story is engaging, features plenty of drama, some bitter humor, and dialogues that will suck you in like a good ghost novel. The game requires you to to switch between Rosa and Joey to talk to different living or ghostly characters and solve puzzles which are both logical and challenging. Add some retro pixelated graphics, great voice acting, and an original score, and you’ll find the Blackwell Bundle to be a quality adventure series that is not only an easy recommendation for the fans of the genre, but also a good starting point for those who weren’t lucky enough to play some of the classic point-and-clicks from the Golden Age of adventure games 20 years ago.

Blackwell Bundle is available on GOG.com with a 33% special release discount--for the next week you can get the game $5 off for just $9.99. This offer lasts until Tuesday, June 5 at 6:59 AM EDT.
Oh no, I have to open my wallet AGAIN!
Yet another excellent release for people like me who just love adventure games.

Thank you very much GOG!
I have completed every single one of these games, and they're all quite good. Definitely worth playing for any fans of classic adventure games. You'll get some genuinely good stories about characters you will actually care about, combined with many enjoyable puzzles (not too easy, not too hard, and some are actually pretty damn clever). The production values vary a bit - the one where you play Lauren is a bit wonky, but mostly they look very good with lots of great pixel art. The music is fantastic in all of them.

At $9.99 this collection is a must have in my opinion.
haven't heard of it, but looks like my kind of game - wishlisted for now
Great release. Wadjet Eye is my favorite.

davelgil: Hi everyone! Dave of Wadjet Eye here. So happy to see this on GoG, and the positive reaction to it.

Regarding bundles: In retrospect, calling the collection the "Blackwell Bundle" might have not been the best move. To be fair, I came up with the name before Bundle Fever took over the interwebs. This isn't a bundle in the Humble Bundle/Indie Royale sense. It's just what I call the collection of games! Will it be part of another bundle in the future? Most likely yes, although I don't know when. Due to its launch on GoG, I will hold off for awhile. There might be a small sale or promotion or something, but it won't be part of a bundle and it definitely won't include the bonus extras.

If you have any comments or questions about the games, definitely let me know!

-Dave
Might get this for the amazing Beneath A Steel Sky-style graphics alone. Thanks for bringing it to GOG.
"I'll buy it at a high price!"

I've been interested in these for a while, but I didn't get them for one reason or another. Two-fifty a pop is a damn good price. Even at the actual $15 it would be quite reasonable. I've sworn off on indie bundles. Yes, I'm strange like that.

Anyway, thanks for bringing these games here. More adventure goodness is always welcomed. Keep 'em coming, GOG. ;)
Didn't even hesitate this time, bought it. Between GOG and my recent discovery of retailers in my country having lots of blu-ray titles on special (I've just decided to convert from DVD) my bank account is taking a beating lately.

Thought about it for an hour, then received a small payment from client via PayPal and, voila, I'm now the proud owner of the Blackwell Bundle :)

At $2.50 per game, even if each game is only 2-3 hours that's a HELLUVA better deal than going to see a movie, eat a meal out or a thousand other things people often do. Plus they're replayable games so it's even less per hour when you think about it that way.

All I know is every review I've ever read about the Blackwell games has said what must buys they are so yep ----- I must bought them :)

I also posted a quick article on my website about them so, hopefully, even more people will buy them too!

Thanks GOG.

xyem: Only in 3 of them :P
Only in 2 of them :P
Just sayin'. These games are possibly my favorite adventure games ever. And it was the genre I used to play most, in Sierra/Lucasarts/Delphine days. I love the mood, stories, characters in there.

If you buy them here, you get the soundtracks, that are fantastic. I'm harassing the author for him to (re)release the musics on his site (he used to sell them and stopped it before I could buy them). I might re-buy the bundle just to acquire the soundtracks. I do advise you all to not miss the opportunity.
Is this the remastered version ? I mean the first three games .

Just out of curiosity, would you say that they're the best of Wadjet Eye's games (I've played Gemini Rue and The Shivah and thought they were both great)?
