Hmm, I got this in a bundle but haven't bothered installing it yet. If it makes GOG's cut then I guess I will have to check it out soon.

I also can endorse Paper Sorcerer as GOG-worthy alongside those who have mentioned it here. But this is under the condition that GOG first convinces the devs to fix the spelling errors and the horrible "star metal" quest bug first.
Probably a good game,

but I too must say I'm disappointed that there isn't another good old game released today, mainly because I know there are various good DOS titles (even platformers) not here from publishers already here.

(I was half-inspired to write this because of people's complaints about whining. :P)

ErekoseDM: if someone gets it and installs could they check and see if the music / ost is in the game folder Hotline Miami style?
please

stardust_79: I've already the game and I checked (and double-checked) for the music files, and I didn't find it.
I almost said the steam version came with a FLAC soundtrack why not GOG, however just checked and it appears I purchased the soundtrack from bandcamp and forgot that little fact. http://beatbuddy.bandcamp.com/

It is a short but good soundtrack, a little of a few different styles in that (not metal though)

Time for GoG to open a second homepage. one for newer and indie titles and one for us who like dusty old games ;D

Ah but then you'd not see the new games and might miss out on a rare one that even appeals to you. That is a risk GOG won't take, in your own interest of course :)

Yeah, gog already made a decision on that when they changed the name from good old games to gog.com only. There really aren't that many "classics" released anymore and they are mostly just fitted in these categories: adventure, click and point, platformer, rpg and action games. You rarely see strategy or simulation games anymore.

Fesin: Just watched the trailer, and concluded that it definitely isn't a game I will ever want to own. I really didn't like the music and the gameplay didn't grab my attention either.

But do we really get only one release today?
Fract OSC is now listed as coming soon:
http://www.gog.com/game/fract_osc

And Thursday will be Risen 2 and Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime.
I hope we're getting a third game this week, since the hinted game is clearly The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's coming and I intend to get it. It's just that I like having a surprise to look forward to as well.

EDIT: Ninja'd AND surprise-busted. Ah well, life carries on. And FRACT looks good, so I've preemptively wishlisted it. :)

If they still can sue you, you didn't shake them enough. :)

Tommo still owns PLENTY of unreleased oldies in their catalog (including a bunch of flight sims that are rare here).
Cinemaware claimed that they want to release their catalog here.
I'm also certain EA still has sth in their vaults.

EDIT: and one more thing - there are dozen of old titles on DotEMU not present here either (even if you put SEGA aside).

Underwhelming, considering it was part of a Humble bundle recently and I even decided against buying it since I didn't think it this game was that much fun. But maybe others will enjoy it more, and some of the previous releases were pretty great, so GOG deserves a break. Here's hoping it will only last until tomorrow. ;)

I like both kind of games combined on one homepage. How about simply ignoring the releases you don't like?

Oops, sorry. Well, I could still be wrong, and there could be a fifth or so game to look forward to. ;) But I'm anticipating Risen 2 DRM-free at last, so I need to put money on my card if it's going to be over $20.

Ha ha, quite alright. And I'm happy to be getting Journeyman, Risen 2, and FRACT, so any lost surprise is more than adequately compensated for. :D
