This actually looks halfway interesting, and the price is tempting, as well.

But... I'm currently playing Dark Souls 2. Sorry GOG. .___.
Oh man, that music is insanely awful.

Just goes to show how different everyone's tastes are, I liked the music enough to buy a copy on bandcamp

But you was able to get that game on Humble along with Soundtrack...right?
Nice game.

zeffyr: Such game shouldn't be sold without a soundtrack!
I must agree.

Me too. Still a bit irked many of these indie games don't come with the soundtrack. I know many of them get sold separately but surely GOG could come to some agreement to include them albeit for a slightly higher priced bundle?. there are certain games I actually value more for the music...

Actually, no, the soundtrack for Beatbuddy was not included. Unlike the OST for The Swapper, for example, which is not part of the GOG-release but was included in HIB 11.

Its very unusual for HIB to not include OST for Beatbuddy, Since HIB3 or 4 they always include soundtracks...(if present).
Probably a licensing thing, especially since Beatbuddy was not part of the base offer, but added later on in the update stage.

Unusual I will agree, but it is true.
Given the number of different artists involved with the Beatbuddy soundtrack, I would guess at least one does not want the soundtrack bundled up with the game as long as it continues to sell independently.
Heh. Played this game as early as 2011 on some indie games convention in Berlin. It seemed fun. Can't believe that it took them so long to finish it, though. Hope it's good.
Looks more like a casual plattformer than an adventure to me from the screen shots. How much story is there really?

I checked I do own a copy on humble bundle as well it appears. No soundtrack with it though. So looks like bandcamp is the only place to get it.

That would be my take on it too. I can understand the music artists wanting to make something out of it. I don't know the background it might have been negotiated that they could use the music for the game as long as the soundtrack sold separately and everyone got a cut.

Looks like it has potential to be fun....I just don't get why "perma-death" is now classified as a game feature in so many games... about as much of a feature as having no saves.... :)

edit....sorry, wrong post .. hehe

Friends talk about how great this INDIE game is on PAX and so on. I look up the site and it's like
"Aug 6, 2013.. Beatbuddy is available on STEAM now"
/me makes sad eyes and waits for months, forgetting about it.
EIGHT MONTHS later. DRMfree.
I wonder what the strategy is, here. Mistrust by the devs?

Anyways, I'm psyched to play it now. Installing...
