NO but your average pinball machine cost $1000+ and if you've ever played one outside of an arcade or bar you realize HOW LOUD they are! :D

I'd love a real machine but if I got one my pets would commit suicide and my neigbors would egg my house.

"Darkside" is one of the "best/super favorite"-virtual pinball tables I haven't played ever! :)

But it's like saying "I like being outdoors so I'm painting my room sky-blue".

Okay, my example was terrible. I'm just saying pinball is a very particular kind of game, like bocce or horseshoes, it's just so unique in real life that the digital experience doesn't cut it, at least for me.

I actually totally agree, thats why I avoid real machines. If I was to play a real machine for just a few seconds I would have no choice but to go home and delete every pinball game from my hard drive. Of course I don't have any pinball on my hard drive at this moment so that was a really stupid thing for me to say.

Incidentally I use to be a horsehoes fiend untill I moved up north. It's kind of hard to play in ten feet of snow. Then again, maybe I could use that and create a new offshoot of horseshoes and patent it and make a gazillion dollars! Hmmmm

For an old game, this has some seriously high specs:

Minimum system requirements: Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8, 1.8 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM (1 GB recommended), 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), 2GB HDD, Mouse, Keyboard.

I really liked pinball games when I was younger. I came across this game when they had a demo released. It featured the darkside table and it was really really awesome. It reminded me of extreme pinball. Which was also really great!

I was waiting for BoS playable on Win7 without any fanpatches and it's finally here, instabuy. This game is just pure fun.

Very nice. I've always wanted to give this a real go. Thankfully, GOG actually made sure this game was playable - it's been notorious for being finicky as I can attest to since I have tried the demo of it sometime last year, which ran like crap.

Anywho, it's definitely a great addition. Second best to the Pinball Pro games here (not like that was a very difficult feat to pull off). The ball physics may be slightly floaty, but overall the game is good fun. I also enjoy the fact that the tables themselves are simpler. Now I just have to turn up the difficulty. Played a bit on normal and that was a little too easy. So, thanks GOG. :)

It also do not need to be like the real experience, one can enjoy these games without expecting to get the same than that from a real pinball machine, it's just another different gameplay. And besides the more realistic-oriented games, there are also those fantasy pinballs with stuff impossible to replicate in real life.

Hmmm, looks like the game came with a soundtrack of some kind. Would have been nice to include that as the game is lacking in bonus content, but maybe there were legal problems?
