JudasIscariot: Does purchasing it count? :D

F4LL0UT: It does. I'm just wondering because of the compatibility. I wouldn't like to buy it from the BIS Online Store just to find out that it doesn't work with the GOG release.
Speaking of... has anyone checked mod support with gog release?
Would it be possible for GOG to set up a means to sell sell DLC? This sort of thing could become bit of an issue as more modern games get released.

I think they treat it like expansions and just pack as much as they can with the main game.

But would any additional added DLC be free for those who bought it?
Argh, shouldn't have bought this during the steam sale. Nice to see it released here anyway but just a little too late for me.

JudasIscariot: Sorry, no DLC content is included :(
I thought GOG is releasing full versions only.

Wing Commader's 1,2, and Privateer as well as Populous,Magic Carpet, Dungeon Keeper, Alpha Centari, and Syndicate(to name a few) would like to say hi..

-NOTE: yes, I know the team are working on getting the expansion content, I just put this to make a point that while GOG tries to get complete versions they often only can release the core games.

timppu: That's what I love about GOG, here I don't have to guess and hear different opinions what kind of DRM the game has.

Fred_DM: you can bring up the tiresome DRM argument anytime you want but NOT when the game no longer has any copy protection built-in.
What part of "That's what I love about GOG, here I don't have to guess and hear different opinions what kind of DRM the game has." didn't you understand? This was not only about ARMA2, or Bohemia games.

With GOG, I don't have to try to figure out and play little Sherlock Holmes on what kind of DRM their games have, e.g. whether the Steam or GamersGate pages have outdated information about the game DRM. Not even GamerGate's "our DRM-free means that there is a workaround to bypass our DRM".

It's "in progress". And as DCT has pointed out, there are several GOGames that lack extra-content atm.
Somebody posted a very important question

Does this version has mod support removed or not?

But in case of Arma 2 there should be no problem to include DLCs.

Hmm, I didn't read the DLC as being "in progress". I read the suggestion that if you want it you should buy it separately. So, it's a valid point, to an extent.

In truth, DLC has gotten ridiculous, and I can't imagine any pub/dev giving it away as a full package to GOG when it's not available as such elsewhere, especially while new content is still being published... Paid DLC is all that is wrong with modern games today, but it is what it is. The only way it could be changed is with people speaking with their wallets. Of course, it's been going on so long that it's apparent that it's a real money maker and will not be changing anytime soon.

Well, they specifically mention DayZ in the announcement, so I'll guess mods are supported

You and I can't possibly know that, sure other place have the DLC but there sold separately are they not? Besides no one but GOG know what their deal entailed, for all we know the deal could only include the original alone which could explain the delay in the game getting released today i.e. GOG was going to release a complete pack and the developer said no.

ARMA 2: Combined Operations is the full game as we received it from the publisher. The DLC or expansion packs are sold seperately everywhere, including the publisher's own page.

I'm probably 80 years late on this, but congrats on the job at GOG. Glad to see you there.
