The definitive virtual military experience.

Arma 2: Combined Operations, the ultimate mod-enabled first person perspective military simulation, bundled with the Operation Arrowhead expansion, is now available for 20% off on GOG.com! That's $23.99 in the release week.

HA-TTENTION recruits! Uncle Sam must be a man of great faith, because he believes that US Army can craft a pile of stinking, dirty clay into a squad of Marines that can be trusted with shooting commies and defending democracy. In fact he put me in charge of performing that small miracle. So you think you know something about modern combat, because you answered some call about duty? Or maybe you got yourself a medal for what passes as honor in those smelly backwoods you call home!? You think you know how to handle your M16s and drive your hummvees because you've done it before IN A GAME?! Well, this is no ordinary game, maggots! This is the United States Marine Corps! This is is Arma 2!

From the creators of Operation Flashpoint comes Arma 2: Combined Ops, the ultimate military simulation. The unmatched level of realism in recreating weapons, equipment, vehicles, and battlefield conditions paired with the incredible scale and detail of the virtual war theater create a gritty, believable US Marine experience. Huge single-player campaigns, massive online multiplayer, mods, and a flexible built-in mission editor guarantee weeks of captivating play. The Combined Ops edition contains the original Arma 2 game and the Operation Arrowhead expansion required to run the game's most popular modification. You know: DayZ. The one with the zombies.

Prove that you have what it takes to leave behind your casual shooters and become a US Marine in Arma 2: Combined Ops for a special price of $23.99 until Tuesday, August 28 at 10:59 AM GMT.!
Ekhm... nope.
I'd rather want that WW2 game based on this engine. However, but this is also impressive so I added it to my wishlist.
I'll buy it sometime in the future, when I get a better hardware.
I also want to know about the DLC, are they included? They are: British Armed Forces, Private Military Company and Army of the Czech Republic (this one's released only on Gamersgate with goddamn Tages, as far as I know).

Nightfall87: Just to be clear, nothing except this is required in order to play DayZ? :P
Nothing except hours of manual installations.
Wow, nice release, I'll get it soon.

johkra: I would like to know the same thing. And if they are not included, how can I buy them when I use the GOG copy?
If they are not included (which is what I'd guess), then you can buy them off of BIS' own store, or GamersGate (or from anywhere other that Steam, since I'm not sure Steam DLCs work together with other versions). I have the boxed version of the base games, first two DLCs from GG, last DLC from BIS store, and they work together as intended.

Great release by the way, this is one of the best and most versatile games ever.

Sorry, no DLC content is included :(

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

The GOG magicians should probably devise a plan to implement DLC content purchasing on their website, or most modern games will be an issue. I don't know though, maybe they're already working on it.
ERMAHGERD ERMA TOO! LURVE IT!

You don't happen to know if there's a legal way to add the DLC to your version, huh?

Umm, just buy it from somewhere and install it? I don't know why they wouldn't work with the GOG version as they work with the boxed version no matter where you buy them from. EDIT: As long as not from Steam.

Yeah, that's also a reason why I'm a bit afraid of buying current games on GOG. On the other hand it shouldn't bee too hard adding separate entries in the catalogue for DLC that will get a separate installer.

Does purchasing it count? :D

It does. I'm just wondering because of the compatibility. I wouldn't like to buy it from the BIS Online Store just to find out that it doesn't work with the GOG release.
bought but doubt ill get round to DLing it at 250-300kbs :-(
