FlyByU: Would ave been interested until I seen this: Multiplayer notice: In order to access multiplayer, you must enter your unique serial key that's located in My Account. For more information please follow this link.

After the Arma Gold debacle with the MP keys I will never buy another game from here when it says "Multiplayer notice: In order to access multiplayer, you must enter your unique serial key that's located in My Account. For more information please follow this link". I bought 4 Arma Golds for me and my sons and the Keys didn't work and we told GoG support and they still haven't sent a working keys to us this has been months ago... Wasted money on those games, and I don't even have the cd's to use as coasters.

NetAndy: Have you tried to run the game as administrator? I was getting error message about invalid key without doing so.
Thx NetAndy. I have the UAC turned off for all our PC's as it is a pain in the butt so we don't have to do all that every time we want to do something.

I bet you go into the "Ready for release" vault and pick the games at random from the thousands of available releases each week.

And due to bad luck, System Shock hasn't been picked yet :-/

I don't think it is bad luck... it has not been picked yet, because TET is using the CD as a seat ring on his chair.

I think it's a mug coaster, actually.
I think there are some misconceptions about the DRM issue here. Arma 2's method is for all intents and purposes invisible and inconsequential after installation, and it's mainly used to prevent pirated copies from participating in the still quite active multiplayer, as the game hasn't exactly reached the end of its life cycle yet.

The DLCs that can be bought from GamersGate or Bohemia's own store are basically installer EXEs accompanied by verification keys, and after installation they are a solid part of your Arma 2 without further fuss.

htown1980: again, i think you are misunderstanding the point. its not that the GoG edition has advantages over GG edition. its that in general, many people find it preferable to purchase from GoG, rather than GG because you can be assured what the DRM situation is. in that sense its clear that GoG does have an advantage over most other digital retailers. if you can't see that then thats fine.

Fred_DM: i give up. i cannot be bothered to keep talking to a brick wall. and let me tell you this: if you cannot even figure out whether DRM has been patched out of a game, you won't stand a chance in a game as complex as ArmA 2.
Haha, thanks for the tip mate. I have to deal with fairly complex things pretty often in real life, I'm sure I can handle the game.

It's a collectible CD. I show my appreciation of it by using it every day.

I hope it works also as good reminder :D
I'm hoping all 3 DLCs come before I decide to get them from Steam, you know.
