Stop the human invasion!

Anomaly Defenders a fast-paced sci-fi tower defense games with sleek graphics, concluding the Anomaly series, is available 40% off for Windows and Mac OS X on GOG.com. That's only $5.99 for the first three days!

Anomaly Defenders is a fast-paced Tower Defense game where attacking human troops can damage and destroy your defenses. You have to react and counter-attack enemies on the battlefield at all times. Each time you start a campaign, the unique tech-tree technologies can be tailored to your needs. Killing humans is easier due to 8 upgradable towers and special functions: repair your towers, make them go berserk, sacrifice them in explosions that are harmful to nasty humans, and use other tricks. This is the final battle against the humans. For the Hive, Commander!

Witness the Anomaly series getting back to the genre's roots and lead the alien defense forces facing human retribution on their home planet in Anomaly Defenders, for only $5.99 on GOG.com. The 40% off special release discount lasts only until Friday, July 11, at 9:59AM GMT.
The whole reason I liked Anomaly was that it was Tower OFFENSE. As a Tower Defense it holds no interest for me. I always found TD to rather boring, and was frankly surprised to see it become a genre on it's own.
One I will wait on, since I'm not much of a TD fan. I got the original because it turned the tables, but this goes back to a more traditional approach. Not necessarily a bad thing, though, and if I like the original once I get to it my backlog, then I'll probably get this too afterwards.

EDIT: typo

No thanks. Only played the first Anomaly game and it was decent enough, just not my genre.
Nice release with launch promo.
I liked the 1st Anomaly quite a bit, it was a nice -although not unique- reversal of the tower defense genre. I might get this eventually, but I don't think I'd skip a chapter of the story to play it...
My favorite genre, but too rich considering that it'll be free or $2 at most on iOS or Steam soon.
I wonder if GOG will get the other games in the Anomaly series, like Anomaly Korea and Anomaly 2.

jimbob0i0: Meh release for me ...

Thinking of spending my money this week on the Divinity: Original Sin collectors edition on Steam at this rate given the zero news on one - nevermind two - copies over here so far ...
tomorrow!!! http://www.gog.com/forum/general/divinity_original_sin_on_gogcom_bstatus_updateb/post661

Anomaly 2 was DRM Free in the last E3 promo of the Humble Bundle. No reason not to be here.
Just one question - which languages are correct? Gamepage says: English, POLISH, German, French, Spanish, Russian, while in my shelf I can choose from English, ITALIAN, German, French, Spanish, Russian.

Non capisto una parola!!!

Niggles: Defense Grid (why is this not on GOG?)
My guess would be because of the Valve content in it (or was the Portal stuff from a DLC that could be potentially be left out? I don't remember). Regardless, time for me to go look for it on the wishlist and vote, I'd buy it again.

Niggles: Unsure about the Anomaly series. I still think Defenders QUest and Defense Grid (why is this not on GOG?) are still the two best examples of tower defence games out there
defender's quest is honestly kind of a joke

the game is more of a tech demo than an actual game, there's almost no way to ever lose at it

defense grid however is really one of the greatest TD titles ever made along with radiant defense and maybe tower madness 2

That sounds disappointing. I didn't end up caring much for the POV reversal of the other games, and I thought this might be more of what I wanted as a DG fan, but the game needs to put up a fight.
