cyboff: but AvP 2000 was using Galaxy client in beta testing... probably have to redownload & reinstall it to find out what happened there:D
avatar
Matruchus: Sorry but that was not the galaxy client - only the game launcher with the multiplayer galaxy server support :)
A, ok, now I see the difference :D

angelus04: Shouldn't it be in my library since I signed up
avatar
cyboff: I received e-mail with the code to redeem in October... redeemed it and now it sits nicely in my library, it didn't disappear after this released...
I never received an email with the code just a thank you for signing up

cyboff: Nice! but no word about Galaxy?
avatar
Matruchus: Galaxy is supposed to come next year :) Multiplayer does work for this game though.
Where did they say this?. Everything previously pointed to a release this year......(but yeah i guess they ran out of time after they skipped the D:OS release date)
So how does the GOG version work with mods? In particular the "Redux" mod, does it screw up the multiplayer?

Also is the version now different from when this was first given away free?

viperfdl: Now, after I played some AvP Classic 2000, I must admit that I liked AvP 2 by Monolith better. Can we expect a release of that game in the future, too?
I didn't include AvP2 in my list of top wishlisted games that actually seem likely to appear,
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/10_top_likely_additions_from_the_wish_list

saying

"Aliens Vs. Predator 2: even though the 1st one is on GOG this was developed by Monolith and Published by Activision, Monolith are closely tied with WB these days and the Aliens franchise is with Sega so it looks a mess"

So I'm pretty pessimistic but, I'm not employed by GOG or anything, I'm just on the outside looking in, same as everyone else...

Can it be downloaded now or does it still give that error in the middle?

Thanks for the info. :)
Thanks GoG for this release.

Hopefully we'll see AVP2 + Primal Hunt released on GOG someday :-)
