Great story, great graphics, great puzzles--all you need from a point-and-click.

A New Beginning - Final Cut, a cinematic adventure thriller done graphic novel-style, is available for $4.99 until January 3 2013, or 75% off, which is $2.49, in today's End of the World Sale.

In 500 years the Earth will be uninhabitable due to climatic changes (supposing it doesn't end on Friday). Survival will be only possible in secluded subterranean locations. The magnetic field of the planet is close to breaking down. Solar activity might end all life as we know it.
You're Fay, radio operator sent from the dark future to the XX-th Century to prevent the climatic change and save the world. All other teams sent from 2500 have failed. With help of eco-engineer Bent Svensson you need to avoid the catastrophe, while also stopping Salvador, another time traveller who's willing to do anything to make sure that the future as he--and you--know it will occur.

Daedalic Entertainment knows how to make excellent adventures, and the warm reception of Deponia or The Whispered World from our users only proves that when it comes to cinematic point-and-clicks, the german publisher is the go-to guy. A New Beginning - Final Cut follows the tradition with gorgeously detailed hand-drawn locations, animated cutscenes, and an excellent narrative taking on the contemporary issue of global warming. If you're looking for a great story with some classic puzzles and high production value, A New Beginning is a title you should pick up immediately. The game price is set to $9.99, however, only at GOG.com, the game is available right now 75% off when bought in the Daedalic Adventures Bundle along with the aforementioned games, Edna & Harvey, and Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav.
Damn, been waiting for this to come on gog. Going to my wishlist for now, spend already too much on this sale :) Maybe next month or gonna ask this whole Daedalic bundle as christmas present.
Have the retail box safely on the shelf, so I don't really need a gogified version, but can safely recommend it to anyone else, solid, memorable adventure in my book. Well worth the price, and at 75% off it's a steal as far as I'm concerned :)

Quoted for agreement.
Without spoiling anything, I felt a bit depressed after finishing it :P
Superb! It's the best GOG release of 2012!

This is an excellent Adventure game, well worth your time. I already have it though.
No hesitation with this one though still haven't played the last couple I got from Daedalic

Mivas: Wow, the best day of Christmas sale so far!
Seconded! Thank you very much, GOG, I was waiting for this one for some time :)
$9.99 seems to be quite a good non-sale price for the game.
oh bleh i just bought this on steam for 8 yesterday.
Actually I was surprised when I saw this post today. I thought this game has been on GOG for months already. Oh well, don't care that much. Also this game brings back bad memories...
Was tempted to get the game on Gamersgate on long time ago but the very bad reviews it got always turned me down... oh well for 2.49$ it's a good occasion to try it.

I should probably shut my mouth. I don't wanna face a lawsuit for defamation or something. :P

Hmm, ominous. Okay, I won't push it.
This game is actually quite great, nice graphics, cool setting, LOGICAL pussles. Little comlaint about the ending, but this game is certainly worth its full price
