Am I right that GOG usually releases on Tuesday & Thursday? There was no release yesterday. Did I miss something? :) Can any GOG historian enlighten as to whether that has happened before?
Are you guys running out of games to give us or are some in the pipelines? To be fair, I do look at the Upcoming Games section and it doesn't get updated an awful lot. I realise some people enjoy the "surprise releases" but I kind of don't. I like to see what GOG is getting up to.

Generally the realeses are tuesday. sometimes thursday. sometimes whenever they feel like doing it..
And sometimes? Something they decide just to mess with you and not release anything! :)
Tuesday and Thursday at one point had releases, though originally it was only one day per week.
We see a lot more when GOG manage to get hold of a large catalogue, then things slow down for a bit.
According to twitter, there is much goodness to come, though we may have to wait awhile.
I'm dying for a new catalogue. Next week I hope. :(
Indeed, earlier it was two games every Tuesday, then recently it was one Tuesday and one Thursday.
It has happened before that only one game got added (IIRC, it was Jagged Alliance Wildfire), but I don't think it's becoming a new trend.
But even if it is, GOG already has one heck of a large catalog, so that's not a big problem, either. (Still, I *hope* they keep up with 2 games/week, it's nice to see the catalog grow :-).)
Aaanyway, maybe they consider this week's release two games since it's a game and its sequel? ;-) (j/k of course)

You didn't miss anything, there just wasn't anything announced or released. Not too long ago it was releases on Tuesday and announcements on Thursdays, but since then they've mixed it up a bit. Sometimes one release a week, other times one on Tuesday and one on Thursday (as others have said).
But yeah, the Twitter tease is bugging me. ;)

This thursday we decided not to release a new game as we had a public bank holiday in Poland and we want to have the whole team available should something go wrong. Most of the team took friday off and which gives a lovely 4 day weekend for them:)
We've got another announcement this coming week, we're adding more games to the catalogue.. some great classics, so stay tuned for this :) Oh.. and this isn't the Twitter tease deal ;)
It's quite hard to keep the upcoming games properly stocked and at the same time, to ensure that we release a game to our schedule. Earth 2160 has been in that list for too long but we did have some issues to tackle which have taken longer than expected to resolve. Currently we have a few games being worked on by programmers that are causing problems with compatibility, so until we're certain they're ready, we don't announce them or release them.
All sounds rather exciting if you ask me. You know you use GOG loads when a new release on here gets your rocks off, more so than anything announced at E3.

Yep! Exactly. That's why I was wondering.

Oh right. I wasn't aware. Cool beans.
I look forward to next week :).
Thanks all!!!

To derail the thread completely, was there anything even remotely interesting showcased at E3 this year?

That must be very tough. I have many older games like Zork Nemesis and Ripper, and you have to go deep into the code to get them to work on modern machines. I couldn't get Ripper to run on Vista, so I had to go through complicated step-by-step instructions to get it to run on the family XP system. I have nothing but sympathy for people who fight with compatibility, because it's one of the most frustrating things I have ever dealt with.

Yes. The Last Guardian, Team Ninja making a Metroid game, Borderlands, that new medieval BioWare RPG, Mass Effect 2, ect. Would be even better if they showed some Heavy Rain.

To make the lack of new release this week a little less painful we have a new, lower price for Panzer Elite SE :). And stay tuned for next week's announcement, even I can't wait for it :)

I can't wait.
Too bad for me I have obligations the 3 weekends after that, so not too much time to play.
we're adding more games to the catalogue..
The more games you guys release, the more I realise I need to recode my site to allow for paged viewing. You're just growing too fast! >_>
