Yesterday another user (brother) tried gifting me the Extremism DLC to Democracy 3, since he knew I was into the base game. What I forgot to tell him is that I had a Steam copy, which is incompatible. So now I have this gift code that I can't use,

I sent in a refund request, in the hopes we could just cancel the whole deal and credit back the $4.99 or whatever. And I was wondering how long it takes for such requests to go through. Will I be messaged here, or on my email?

Worst case I think he can gift the code to someone else... I'm not sure how long it takes for the refund requests to be processed, but GOG's support is famous for its promptness so it shouldn't be long.

Indeed, but it is past 10PM on a Saturday in GOGia right now, so if it was me I'd be surprised (in a good way!) if the request gets processed before Monday.

IIRC you'll get an email response once it's been handled or if they need more information etc.

^^THIS^^ Plus it's not like GOG didn't do a week long Insomnia Promo or anything ;-p
But yeah - weekend - look for a response Mon/Tue.
