Well i reformatted my laptop because it still had all the crap on it from PC world which i think was making it go slow...anyways i cant get it to find any internet connections, ive tried wired and wireless and my desktop finds it, so im guessing something got deleted from the laptop which makes me able to use the internet?

Indeed. I had to transfer network card drivers for my most recent motherboard on a USB stick since windows didn't have them built in.

Little shot in the dark, in the event it is not a driver you're missing for your wireless adapter...my Acer laptop has a small wireless button above the keyboard (along with a volume control, dvd player controls, help button, and a couple others) that were not apparent to me when I first fired it up a couple years ago. when I was unable to find my wireless access point, I broke down and read the manual (when all else, read the manual, lol), and low and behold, all I had to do was push the button to activate the laptop's adapter, and bingo. I have hit it by accident once or twice, and it always takes a few moments to remember the button. Anyway, just a thought...good luck
