What's the deal with old games that used redbook audio (CD tracks) ?
I did read the Redneck Rampage thread which was never fully answered. (Looks like with that game collection we only get one of the three audio CD track sets. If correct, not good.)
I am looking at maybe getting two old games I already have the discs for; Screamer and Kingpin. They both use redbook audio. Looking at Screamer I am guessing that the tracks are included because of the 200+MB size. The game itself IIRC was around 35MB. Kingpin I'm not sure, because if I create an image form my disc it's 800+MB. Sure, I know images take more space but 300 vs 800 is a big difference.
Anyway, are tracks included as a "bonus" mp3 or whatever or do they actually work in the game as they should, and did with the originals. For example in Kingpin that was the music. It's not as if it was a "bonus" music CD, it was part of the game. So does the GOG version of Kingpin play music in game ? And is it CD quality ? What about Screamer ? Do I hear music whilst racing ?
Thanks,
