kavazovangel: You can label Braid as a side-scrolling platformer. World of Goo as a puzzle game. Plants vs. Zombies as a Tower Defense or Strategy game. Trine as a side-scrolling platformer.
Although I'd suggest removing Plants vs. Zombies as PopCap are not indie anymore, they were bought by EA.
Just a suggestion.
Ok, thanks. In that case I guess I'll take it off the list, unless anyone protests. Although I'd suggest removing Plants vs. Zombies as PopCap are not indie anymore, they were bought by EA.

I wonder if it's better to have broad categories (e.g. Arcade/Action, Strategy etc,) or more specific ones (e.g. Tower Defense, Side-Scrolling Platformer etc.)? Probably depends on the amount of games on the list, too (the more there will be, the more specific the categories)?
I often have a little trouble defining genre crossovers, for example would Braid be better off in the Side-Scrolling Platformer category (because it's mimicking side-scrolling platformers) or in the Puzzle category (because the real challenge are puzzles, not fast reactions) ...
