My roommate wanted to sell her Wii and since I still have about 25 GameCube games but a broken GameCube, I bought it. Besides obvious stuff like Wii Sports, Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda, etc. I'm not very familiar with available games for the Wii except launch titles as I stopped following consoles in whatever year that was.

What are some Wii games that you would recommend?
No More Heroes 1 and 2 are pretty awesome (Hiphish incoming). Other than that *shrug*.

Well, the updated control scheme for Resident Evil 4 is worth it IMO, haven't played it on the ps2 or GC but it felt really natural and fun once you got used to it. Pikmin also greatly benefits from it.

I haven't really delved into the Wii beyond that.

Raving Rabbids TV Party - extremely entertaining for a group.
Donkey Kong Country Returns - gets pretty tough for a platformer but still enjoyable

Fire Emblem is good if you're into that sort of thing. Xenoblade is epic.
My personal favorites include Opoona, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Monster Hunter Tri, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, and the two No More Heroes games. There are also some great compilations and rereleases, like Metal Slug Anthology, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and the port of the remake of the first Resident Evil.

Also, the Wii has a small, but interested niche of horror titles, like Cursed Mountain, Calling, Ju-on: The Grudge, and the aforementioned Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, among others. Some are good, while others are...crummy, but at least it's something different. I have Cursed Mountain, and while the controls suck ass and it's not that scary, it's still a worthwhile experience for the story and exploration.
The Wii version of Resident Evil 4 is definitive; I'm not a big fan of the motion control trend, but the Wii's "point and shoot" controls blow the GameCube or PS2 version out of the water.
I recommend Tatsunoko vs Capcom if you like fighters, anime, or both.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is an excellent turn-based strategy game. If you can get the prequel, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, you can import your save from the first game and get some bonuses.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is also a must have.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime Trilogy - 1 & 2 are also on the GC, but this is a good example of motion controls adding a lot to the game.

Twilight Princess - This game is the opposite, get the GameCube version if you can. The motion controls in this game are for the most part terrible.

Skyward Sword on the other hand has worthwhile motion controls, which is good because there's no GameCube version.
This new title looks fun, though I'm guessing you'll have to go out and buy the new controller.

+1 for Legend of Zelda. I thought Twilight Pricess controls were fine. Either way, it's pretty good.
If you like Survival Horror Titles I would definitely pick up Cursed Mountain, its really creepy and the setting is absolutely fantastic and original. You truly feel alone while playing it given the setting being the Himalayas, you get caught in snow storms, weird ghost type things attacking you and empty townships, it has loads of atmosphere.
Last Story, No more heroes, Xenoblade Chronicles, Monster hunter Tri, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros, Sin and Punishment
Xenoblade Chronicles
The Last Story
Pandora's Tower
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Disaster: Day of Crisis
Another Code R
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Trauma Center: New Blood
Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility
Harvest Moon Animal Parade
