Greetings fine folk, I'm once again asking for some video game recommendations. While my last thread was fairly broad and not very specific, this thread will be a bit more specific, while remaining flexible to allow for as many recommendations as possible. Please note I'm looking for games available on the PC.

What I'm looking for: I'm looking for open world games (and especially roleplaying games set in an open world). The recommended games should meet at least one of the requirements listed below:
Completely open world, with the ability to freely explore whenever you choose (between quests of course).
Plenty of customization (even if just mostly cosmetic)
Plenty of items to discover and use
Quests than can change based on your actions and words.
Multiple possible builds/play styles.

I would like if the recommended game(s) were also:
Unique in either it's art style/art direction or world design
Not too easy (no "press this button to win" type of games) and not too hard (no "you misused one skill point, therefore your build is now entirely useless" games)

As far as games I already have that meet some of the above requirements:
I have Baldur's Gate/Baldur's Gate 2
I have Neverwinter Nights/Neverwinter Nights 2
I have Planescape: Torment
I have Outcast
I have Gothic/Gothic 2/Gothic 3
I have Saints Row 2/Saints Row: The Third/Saints Row IV
I have The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim
I have the entire Fallout series
I have the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series
I have Mount and Blade: Warband
I have Just Cause and Just Cause 2
I have Sleeping Dogs
I have Fable: The Lost Chapters
I have Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
I have The Witcher/The Witcher 2
I have Risen
I have Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines
I have Divinity II
I have Might and Magic 1-9
I have Two Worlds II
I have Geneforge 1-5
I have Deus Ex

Fable? Fable is very good
I couldn't put Jade Empire down once I'd picked it up either, maybe slightly more restrictive than you're wanting though - keeps you to small areas that you can freely explore and find sub-quests in rather than being full-on open world, it DOES feel likes there's plenty of side-stuff to find and do though...

Edit - GTA 3 onwards, obviously!

I own Fable: The Lost Chapters, I just forgot to include it in the list of games I own haha. I have GTA 3/Vice City/San Andreas on the ps2, I know that GTA IV is quite a bit different than the previous games, but it looks like it's worth a try.

Jade Empire is a game that was recommended to me a few times but I never seem to remember it when it's on sale. Though I mentioned that I'm mostly looking for PC games, a local game store has Jade Empire for the ps2 (I think), do you know if there is any real difference between the console version and the PC version (besides graphics)?

Yeah, the PC IS 'Special Edition' I think you can bind up to 10 fighting styles to the keyboard numbers 1-0 while the console only does 4 on the D-pad (PC ALSO does 4 on the D-pad BTW)
Maybe Kingdoms of Amalur? It doesn't meet all of your criteria to the fullest, e.g. while you can choose what quests to do and which to reject and while you can sometimes (but rarely) choose to be nice or mean in dialogues, nothing you do has any real impact on the world, there's hardly any opportunity for roleplaying. There are factions but you can join all of them and it doesn't make a difference. You can't freely jump off cliffs or over small obstacles, in fact you can't jump at all. Apart from that it's the closest candidate I can think of at the moment though. Certainly not a perfect one - while superficially quite similar to Skyrim, it might have more in common with Sacred - but with your long list of games already played, you can't really be choosy anymore. ;)

You could also look into Darksiders 2, but since I haven't played it yet, I can't say whether it's what you're looking for or not (probably no customization though, as your character is pre-defined).

And possibly the Eschalon series?

Dzsono's suggestion is quite good, too. If you liked the Might and Magic series and haven't played any Wizardry games, perhaps that would be the next logical step for you.

Some excellent suggestions so far, any more recommendations?
Ice Wind Dale (semi-OW) seems to fall in line with what you like to play.

Also, try Heretic Kingdoms- it's not open world, but it's an interesting enough RPG with some cool game mechanics; I suggest specializing in magic.

Dark Messiah Might and Magic isn't OW either, but it's some good fun.

Here are some OW RPGs, though- Dark Souls, Skyrim + DLC, Avernum EftP, and Avadon The Corruption.

amended to exclude games you have ^^

Out of thes ones you have, this is how well they stack up with your requirements :

I have Baldur's Gate/Baldur's Gate 2: Not nonlinear. While the world is not entirely closed either, you progress furhter into it as you advance the story. Plenty of areas are "story locked"
I have Neverwinter Nights/Neverwinter Nights 2: More linear than Baldur's Gate
I have Planescape: Torment See BG.
I have Outcast There is an intended progression in this game. I've not played it for years, so my memory is a bit foggy.
I have Gothic/Gothic 2/Gothic 3: Not open world, in particular not 1 & 2. While the world is in theory open, most of it is blocked by enemies that are far too powerful for you, so you'll only be able to get furhter into it by advancing the story. These "gateguard" enemies act pretty much like walls (that will kill you). Quests are pretty much linear, though you get to pick factions.
I have Saints Row 2/Saints Row: The Third/Saints Row IV: These are pretty open. Not played IV, but in 2 & 3, the world is mostly for you to explore. Quests are pretty much linear
I have The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim: Apart from certain specific areas, the world is pretty much yours to explore. Quests are pretty much linear.
I have the entire Fallout series World is pretty much open, though there is an intended path, and straying from it can result in some very powerful enemies.
I have the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series Not played.
I have Mount and Blade: Warband World is pretty much open from the get-go.
I have Just Cause and Just Cause 2 Tried Just Cause 1, hated it. can't really tell you anything about 2.
I have Sleeping Dogs Linear story. World is open but until you reach certain points in the story, not all that rewarding to explore, but you don't get to make any real choices during quests.
I have Fable: The Lost Chapters Rather linear. Some token choices. Not very good
I have Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura World is relatively open. There are some "gateguards", which block off half of the world, but once you are powerful enough, you can explore most of the world.
I have The Witcher/The Witcher 2 Relatively linear games. Some choices, but the world is not open
I have Risen Like Gothic 1 & 2
I have Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines World is not open, but you do get to make plenty of choices.
I have Divinity II World is not entirely open. Not a whole lot of choices.
I have Might and Magic 1-9 Depends a lot on the games. Worlds tends to be relatively open, but with gateguard enemies. No real choices in the earlier games, some major choices in terms of sides you pick in the later ones, but quests are relatively linear.
I have Two Worlds II World is split up into smaller parts which are open, but you need to reach certain points in the story for them to actually unlock. No real choices.
I have Geneforge 1-5 Plenty of choices. The worlds are mostly open, apart from "gateguards"
I have Deus Ex Linear, but with some choices.
Wizardry 7 and Daggerfall, if you're healthcare plan covers it.
I would say: Deadly Premonition!

NoNewTaleToTell: Completely open world, with the ability to freely explore whenever you choose (between quests of course).
Check.
avatar
NoNewTaleToTell: Plenty of customization (even if just mostly cosmetic)
Is changing suits (from formal FBI suit to psychodelic hawaii-themed)
avatar
NoNewTaleToTell: Plenty of items to discover and use
Guns, suits, collectibles, fishing roads and bait... you name it :)
avatar
NoNewTaleToTell: Quests than can change based on your actions and words.
Well, the story is pretty linear... but really good.
avatar
NoNewTaleToTell: Multiple possible builds/play styles.
I'm not sure about this one... Not really, I guess.
avatar
NoNewTaleToTell: I would like if the recommended game(s) were also:
Unique in either it's art style/art direction or world design
Not too easy (no "press this button to win" type of games) and not too hard (no "you misused one skill point, therefore your build is now entirely useless" games)
I guess Deadly Premonition fits this criteria (if you don't mind pretty frustrating QTE chase at one point :))
And of course, The Cat Lady!
What about Spiderweb Software's Avadon games? :)
