Not in but thanks for your generosity, KneeTheCap. I can't give you anything about detective games because I don't play them.
+1. I'd like to suggest Agatha Chriesties's series as someone mentioned above. It's really good one and if you like Hercules's stories, you will definitively like it.

I recently finished Dangan Ronpa and it was quite entertaining. It's on PSP and there's a fan translation, so use an emulator. The game itself isn't difficult even on the highest setting, but the storyline is quite enjoyable if you are familiar with anime/manga genre tropes.

I'll give this one until tomorrow, then I'll draw the winner. Keep the suggestions coming. You can also suggest games that has crime scene investigation and/or police stuff.

Just don't suggest CSI - New York. That game is a stain in my library, and a constant reminder of lost money.
Not in, but thank you for the giveaway. +1

I'm sorry that I can't help you with your request but I haven't played anything that would qualify other than the Tex Murphy series.
Gabriel Knight 2 is fantastic. It kept me guessing through the entire game as to who the enemy actually was. Great Game. GK1 is also very good, but I have seen it mentioned many times here before.

Also try Sanitarium. It is a mystery game that slowly fits the pieces together.
Not in, but thanks KneeTheCap! +1
Shameless copy-paste

Sorry, been rather busy due to real life :/

Anyway, as I can't send these just yet, lets keep this open until weekend, then I'll have the time to actually be around.

So, there's still time to participate.
Still BUMP
Of 'investigating serial killings' Art of Murder was pretty enjoyable (at least for me - mind you, only the first three games are typical pnc investigative games - the rest are just crappy hidden obiects games).
If you don't mind some paranormal bits in your investigation, Cognition is pretty enjoyable.
Same goes for Gabriel Knight series and Gray Matter - both deserve a strong recommendation!

Novotnus: Gray Matter
Not a bad game, but unfortunately I got the gist of it figured out hours before the ending, which was pretty disheartening.

The soundtrack is wonderful, though.
Hamilton's Great BUMP
Hamilton's finding a new home tomorrow, yay.

Anyway, keep 'em coming. The suggestions.
