It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Sometimes I make a post in a thread I've never posted in before and the thread does not then appear under the "Topics I've participated in". It's a small matter, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I'm fairly sure this wasn't happening earlier, I first noticed it about a week ago. If others are experiencing this and this really is a bug, then to help with debugging: I'm on Safari on the Mac.

EDIT: It does not happen with every thread - for instance this one appears under "Topics I've participated in".

I'm guessing it's part of the new caching solution we're deploying for the site. I'll pass this along to Dev.

Also - it's not a big thing, so I never made a thread about it - but ... since several months now I can't use the image gallery on the game pages [using latest stable version of Opera]. Clicking on the thumbnails or the navigation below the thumbnails just doesn't do anything.
The problem GOG is having is that they haven't hired Barefoot_Monkey yet...

:D

Unlikely, that's been a problem for a really, really long time. It's shown up in the bug reports forum topic a few times and nobody's managed to figure out what the problem is.

Are you using any kind of content blocking addons (like Ghostery)? They're known to break this functionality.

Yeah I had the same problem crazy_dave is having now a few months ago. Only about a third of the topics I posted in showed up either on the main Community page, or in the My Recent Posts page. However, it only lasted a few days and everything has worked since then. It was around the time of the site redesign for me.

At first I'd have said no, but then I disabled all extensions and re-enabled them one by one. Turns out Facebook Blocker causes this ... which still seems odd though.
It is evidently not caching, as we've actually disabled the new caching temporarily.

Interesting, it must show up at random then, because this the first time I've been affected by it.

ah well, it's not a huge issue, just one that I thought was odd and seemed to happen recently - hopefully it will go away for me as it did for the others, or even better, hopefully the Dev crew will figure it out! :)

That could be it, but that's really something that needs to be fixed. Things like Ghostery are the only option that we have for protecting ourselves against the various unsolicited tracking that ad companies do online other than going nuclear and redirecting all those domains to home.

Personally, I've found the new website to work significantly worse than the older website did with the additional scripting as each script has the possibility of timing out and the internet around here isn't particularly stable.
