Elmofongo: Thats the kind of build I have been using, so mabye my problem is gear and I am really naked all I have is my pistol and quest items that have no value in trading, do you at least know a place where I can find good gear?
Getting a good pistol early is very important. Unfortunately it's been too long and I don't remember the best place out of the gate. Armor is less important for your character though, focus on getting a great pistol and shooting 2 or even 3 times per turn.

The best beginning pistol is the .44 revolver which you can get at Flicks place. Personally I prefer the SMG and burst firing people to death at close range.

I will say this I am level 3 and I got leather armor and holy shit enemies with guns still deal a lot of Damage, I have like 36 Hit Points in Total and they deal like 10-20 damage even with the armor, this game is fucking HARD!!!

And yeah I will take your recommendation of Recruiting Sulik and finding a random encounter with people fighting each other, honestly this game is asking me to kill even good people to get further into the story along with having allies since going lone wolf seems fool hardy.
I completed the whole game back then as a martial unarmed punch-everything-when-the-occassion-arises maniac, otherwise I'm a peaceful talk first person, it was really satisfying. Though I had to switch to the Super Sledge for some encounters.

Elmofongo: I decided to start over in Fallout 2 because this feels harder than the first game, no matter what skill I devote too my accuracy is shitty, so I decide I rather have help from you guys than reading guides.

For one can anyone recommend me a character build, since I don't know which to decide Melee or Guns, I have been leaning on Melee since I start with no guns at all and seeing how hard it was to get to decent gun in the first place is really hard to go through.

Also where do you suggest I go to after I leave Arroyo to get better gear, because I start the game basically naked, in Fallout 1 I start with a modest amount of Supplies, Firearm, Dagger, some ammo and stimpacks, in Fallout 2 only my starting spear and a empty flask.

Please help me guys, I am already scared by this game's difficult start.
Leave Arroyo and go straight to the Den. Kill the two guys that own stores. Voila. You now have decent weapons and armor and more. In the Den, there is nothing but chaos so nobody will try to stop you or make you pay for what you did. The Den is your Lindisfarne...

I am level 3 and already have Leather Armor and enemies with guns still do 10-20 damage, has the armors been nerfed or something?

EDIT: Have I been downrepped I last checked it was 460 now its 458, come on guys.

Den is a dangerous place ...
Hmm, I think you´re being too combat focused. Fallout lets you do the things in a lot ways, try mix them.
If you want to have a shooting based character, perception of 8 and above is essential. Then you build up your weapons skill with every level and you start hitting stuff without missing pretty easily.

Guns were nerfed in F2, they are not as successful like in F1. Mostly because you start getting good guns pretty fast.
The fighter approach is tougher in F2 than in F1. In F1 it was the easy way .... in F2 it's just the sure way.
Then like many people said all over the web, the *not really a tutorial* is needlessly hard and makes a lot of builds hard to get through it.

You mean kicking the shit out of ants and scorpios? You can finish it without fighting at all, only by running away or sneaking.
I dont take small guns at the start of Fallout 2 however every skillpoint i earn from leveling goes into small guns, when the time is right i tag small guns as the 4th skill and it gets a healthy boost of points which you can remove and redistribut back down to the same level as when you tag'd it if memory serves.

Also, you could go straight to san fran and rob the 2 shopkeepers and buy some decent weaponry or even spend some time there robbing the merchants a few times and buy power armor. The is also a way of gettin even better armor early in the game but really i think its cheating.
Now its 456 rep really guys :(

Edit 47 because I posted today.

Small guns is a safe bet. Don't gimp yourself on Luck either. A later perk will help you cause serious damage with a high Luck score! Good luck :D

You are being donwrepped because:

- you don't ask for help in game forums,
- you demand immediate help (thus posting in general section),
- you complain too much
- one of your life goals is getting a high rep on GOG forums
- even when people are wasting their time you don't even bother to say "thank you" to a helpful person.
- etc.

Things are getting any clearer now?

/off-topic off
