I decided to start over in Fallout 2 because this feels harder than the first game, no matter what skill I devote too my accuracy is shitty, so I decide I rather have help from you guys than reading guides.

For one can anyone recommend me a character build, since I don't know which to decide Melee or Guns, I have been leaning on Melee since I start with no guns at all and seeing how hard it was to get to decent gun in the first place is really hard to go through.

Also where do you suggest I go to after I leave Arroyo to get better gear, because I start the game basically naked, in Fallout 1 I start with a modest amount of Supplies, Firearm, Dagger, some ammo and stimpacks, in Fallout 2 only my starting spear and a empty flask.

Please help me guys, I am already scared by this game's difficult start.
You can get a lot more EXP in FO2 for non-combat stuff. I suggest doing a lot of that first to build up your character.
And as for combat I would go with small guns for starters. And take Sulik along for the close combat and give him a sledge hammer. Thats a good weapon for the start.

As soon as you have boosted your small guns a bit, you should aim for critical areas (eyes, groin). That increases the efficiency of hits a lot.

But you actually can play FO2 avoiding a lot of combat. It is possible to play a socializer or whatever (just a bit harder). That's one of the things I loved about FO2, that you have a huge freedom how you want to play your character. Just don't be afraid to flee if necessary. You don't have to fight every fight and there is no shame in surviving.

Can you show me the character build of your recommendation like this:

ST 5, PE 5, EN 5, CH 5, IN 5, AG 5, LK 5

Tagged Skills: Small Guns, etc.

Traits: Bloody Mess etc.

This is only an example, what do you recommend?
Drop that intelligence down to 1. Grunts and screams are all you need in this game. Let your fists do the socialising.

No, but seriously, try this for a bit. You'd be amazed how far you can go without (ab)using the mentat chems.

A good general plan in any Fallout is Small Guns, Charisma and Lockpicking. I would put your stat points into PE, AG and IN. Maybe lower ST and LK by one to add some to EN if you're worried about survival.

Oh gosh. I don't remember my exact build. But if you go with small guns you should have a high perception. Agility is also important because it gives you action points. So those are the two attributes I would focus on. Strength is only important for close combat (but you have Sulik for that) and for carrying stuff (but you can get a car with a trunk for that). So ST 4 is sufficient. Charisma is important if you want to build a socializer and attract many followers and it affects some dialogues and events - but for an easy fighter build it's not that important (4 should do). Luck just gives you an increased critical chance. Nice but not vital. Better invest your points in Perception and go for the eyes. So Luck was my dump stat at 1 or 2 (just don't try to win money in a casino). Intelligence is the great game changer. With a low intelligence you will get VERY different dialogues from when you have a high intelligence. So don't set INT at 1. But for a first run it could also be at 4 or something (and later you can try a new build with high CH and high IN, but combat weak).

Tagged skills: small guns, on medical skill to heal yourself and on other that strikes your fancy. Most of the skills have some use. I usually went with something social or pickpocket (which is also useful for reverse pickpocketing live grenades into the pockets of unsuspecting victims *eg*)

Traits: Bloody Mess is nice, and any other. Don't remember what they all were. Anything increasing your chances to hit or reduces your action point use (or increases your action points) would be useful. But DON'T take the trait that removes your ability to aim. Aiming is vital against harder opponents.

My build is ST 5, PE 8, EN 5, CH 4, IN 9, AG 9, LK 7.

Tagged Skills: Small Guns, Lockpicks and Speech. These are really the most important skills, and even then soon you'll find yourself with more skill points then you'll know what to do with.

Traits: Gifted of course, it's objectively the best one in the game. The other one is up to you.

I did find Fallout 2 harder than the first, and like you, my accuracy was shit in the beginning, especially since I had no gun and had to use melee with a non-melee build, but there is a trick to winning by hitting once then moving away so the enemy uses all their AP catching up to you, you just need the high AP to pull it off. Also, you'll find better guns as you go along that should help with your accuracy problem, and there's no need to rush in this game, if you have to fight the slavers but aren't strong enough just do what I did and go on with the game and come back 5 or 6 levels later. It also helps to fight smart in this game, like locking them in their building and taking potshots from outside the window.

Thats the kind of build I have been using, so mabye my problem is gear and I am really naked all I have is my pistol and quest items that have no value in trading, do you at least know a place where I can find good gear?

Perhaps I should increase only my Small Guns skill when I level up next time, its at 55% so mabye thats why my accuracy is lower compared to Fallout 1.

ST 5, PE,7, CH 6, IN 7, AG 10, LK 8

Traits: Fast Shot and Gifted

Perk: Awareness
Traits: Gifted + Small Frame (for the extra stat point)

Skills: small guns, lockpick and speech. Then go for Big Guns or Energy weapons, but not both. Melee, throwing and explosives are useless in this game.

You can get 1 companion for each 2 points of Charisma you have. I usually put Charisma to 4, then you can get 1 stat boost plus the sunglasses for a third companion later in the game. You could also put it to 1.

You can get away with 4 in STR

I thought you might have screwed yourself with a poor character creation but that seems fine. I would have taken two points out of charisma and added them to intelligence but still you have gifted, which is important, and all the skills seem appropriately high.

Maybe all you need really is to increase your small guns skill (and speech, you know how that silver tongue is useful), mine was at 100 maybe 3 levels in I think. Why don't you tell me where you are in the game and I'll see if I have any tips for you.

What I really need is armor and stimpacks and let me tell I am basically broke, my only hope is to find human enemies like Raiders and loot their armor and stimpack but 1. Everytime I try to find them they are always in large groups and 2. without armor they deal alot of damage remember I am naked, I have no armor.

Take Suliks leather armor, have him wait at the Den, then try to get a random encounter in the area south of the Den where 2 groups are fighting each other. They kill each other while you snatch all the loot.
