And I'm referring to Game Pad compatibility. Finally a Diablo game where it is not necessary to break your mouse while left clicking yourself to death.

But at $15 and no demo - Those sneaky bitches will have to wait.

You don't have to break your mouse clicking in Torchlight unless you WANT to. If you have a very fast weapon or lots of cast speed bonuses you're much better off just holding the buttons down anyway. Besides, the "towards the mouse cursor" effects give much better and faster control than a gamepad can. Torchlight was designed to be hard to play without a mouse, it didn't happen by accident.

It's the same type of game as Avencast and RAW. Avencast I can confirm uses game pads quite proficiently.

And yeah, you're meant to click once and hold in TL2 but that becomes insanely boring - There's also the whole having to lean over my desk, growing a hunch and mouse claw when I have a couch pulled up to my desk that i can throw my feet up and lay back in when using my game pad. There's something about action games (not referring to strategy titles) where they become about as interactively entertaining as spreadsheet software when the only same repeated controls are just simply mouse movement and the left mouse button.

Wow, an ARPG that was available on XBLA 1 month before the PC release had gamepad support? I'm shocked!

Not that I'm complaining, I love gamepad support. But I'm more surprised when they take it out of console titles than leave it in (I'm looking at you, Shoot Many Robots, you insane mother fuckers, you too Larian, wtf with DKS?!).

im not encouraged by what i see of reviews of RAW.

It's mediocre but charming. With TL2 only 5 bucks more I can't say I can honestly recommend it at full price, but it should come down rather fast.

Out of curiosity can you map a mappable game pad like Logitech to work with Shoot Many Robots or is like the Torchlight situation where you have to focus a cursor on what you're attacking in order to attack it so you're better off using the mouse?


What I ultimately would like to see is a Diablo-Like game with the map size of Sacred 2 (PC) (BTW 360 Sacred 2 offers Game Pad support - Guess it would have too) but with sophisticated interactive game pad controls like Kung Fu Strike and you could also still acquire various weapons and equipment such as something similar to the laser gun back pack Rio Blast had in Masters of the Universe as well as various staves and swords.

They could also implement a chaining combo system like Devil May Cry or Viewtiful Joe.
The only thing holding me back from buying is that I have single core processor so when I see requirements for Dual it is often times a gamble.

70% percent of the time that I call that bluff I can still run the game but if they've intentionally disregarded SSE recognition it won't even attempt to load.

A demo or even a bench test would be a massively good promotional tool.

My understanding with SMR is that they totally borked the ability to even map your gamepad, I mean, I'm glad they added a mouse support that they seem so damned proud of, that's good on them, but taking out the gamepad support at the same time is a boner move that I cannot say I understand.
