cw8: One of my favourite games, defintiely instant buy once it's out. I replayed it so many times back then. Twin Ion Canons FTW! I was waiting for it to come out on GoG and wow it's now in upcoming, can't wait!
Graphics were incredible back then, it seems to have aged well. Good game for relaxing plus the RPG side of things where you get money and upgrade your ship.

Damn, that's some good music. it should be Tuesday NAO. Though, one thing bothered me about that video. Everyone who has ever played raptor knows you don't buy that extra energy at the beginning of the first mission since there is energy to pick up really early on. Hmmm. . .I may have given this more thought then it deserves.

The fact that the guy wasn't at or near full energy after the first mission means that it was already amateur hour. ;)
Whoa, now that was a neat shooter, you could buy upgrades between missions, and the gfx we're pretty awesome. The only thing that bugged me was the music [CMF's we're cool in 1991:P] and general difficulty. But i suck at those.. ;)

That's true. I was shouting at the computer when he went the wrong direction during the boss fight. He also didn't have the missile timing down. Now I'm just obsessing.
The screens definitely look like they've got a filter on. I've heard higher resolutions are available in this new version though so I hope we get those.

DOSBox can render to any given resolution, but it achieves this by simply scaling the output appropriately (the source resolution is still 320x200 or 640x480 or whatever). Their supposedly enhanced graphics is clearly a scaling filter so I'd wager their resolution mention is also thanks to DOSBox and not any actual recoding.
Gotcha. Ah well.
Oh god... I played this game... It was so long ago, jesus christ.. It was games like these I played back in the day. It's just that you forget after all this time. Man, this game kicked ass!
I hope they release other games I just can't remember. I wish I had a perfect memory. What's the point of doing anything if you can't remember it.
awesome! can't wait to get this, I was playing this on my 386sx/20 when it was released! Epic game !
