So, I just discovered the "Games you'd like to see" section of the site. Genius idea (provided that GOG is able to fulfill the wishes of course), but seriously, what the shit is up with people requesting games like Starcraft 2, Mafia II or Dawn of War 2? What part of Good O-L-D Games did you not understand?
Somebody needs to give that wishlist a good shaving, as right now there's far too much nonsense.
(Hope I didn't come off as a grumpy old guy - I love this site! :) )
Also, there are a crazy amount of duplicates. I count 2x Blade Runner and at least 4x The 7th Guest - which one am I supposed to vote on?
Welcome to the boards!
As for new games on the wishlist, while they may seem silly, once they will be old, and then they'll be good to be here ;-). In my opinion, these are the "most harmless" of the not-real-GOG entries.
Nonsense entries, on the other hand, ARE indeed annoying (my "favorite" is Adobe Photoshop), but we will have to live with them.
Also, you're right, duplicates (created mostly because someone spelled the title of a game wrong) do pose a serious problem. Unfortunately, we can't do anything against their presence, either, and the staff seems to not be in a hurry to clear up the list (probably because it's only a point of reference anyway).
As I and most people here pointed already, its actually an "all games in existence" section. Do yourself a favor and just vote for System shock 2.
Oh, yes, welcomes are in order.
Is "Game X" still up there?
That's my favourite.
I remember the good old days of playing Game X, back in the good old days before consoles, computers, the internet or people.
Those were the days.

Hi and welcome, Lhademmor
The reason that GOG added a wishlist is because the forums were getting flooded by requests for GOG to sell add some-or-another game. The list gives us two benefits - a much better way to suggest games, and an uncluttered forum.
People will vote for all sorts of crazy stuff. That's life. Wierd suggestions will be drowned out by sensible ones. The fact that Starcraft 3 has 106 votes doesn't really hurt anyone (although it is amusing), and is hugely preferable to going to the forum and having to sift through a few dozen "GOG should get Starcraft 3" threads.
If you see duplicates then a good heuristic is to vote for whichever one has the most votes already. The more often the highest-voted duplicate is the one picked, the less noise the other duplicate entries cause.
I put Dawn of War 2 and Starcraft 2 up as a joke. Tee hee.
They should create a section of the site where you rant about the contents of the wishlist. Then we can point people at that.
vote on roadrash its needed here :D
