Yes, they were going to kill me otherwise, but shooting them in the chest would've been less gross.

This, really. Usually I perceive doing these things as a colossal waste of my own time.
In most games I also tend to try to minimise civilian casualties.

However, I do vaguely recall slashing up corpses with a knife in the original Soldier of Fortune when I was a kid.

Just Cause 2 is the ultimate for this kind of fun.

Once, I stole a chopper and latched a peasant farmer onto it, then took him up to the airborne strip club. I had to laugh while he ran around panicking "WHAT YOU DOING!?! STUPID GWAILO!!!" and then "AAAAAH!!!!" when he ran near a pole dancer.

Good fun.

While I had my runs of Stupid Evil murderous sociopaths in RPGs, nothing beats the cruelty potential of the Sims 2. Once, I made a mad warlock who set himself upon a goal to collect ghosts of all colours (in Sims, that depends on death - fire is read, drowning is blue, etc). And not just any ghosts, but heavily pregnant ghosts. So, he'd marry a woman, knock her up, then, well...make a ghost. There was a case when he waited too long and the wife gave life to twins, whom he locked up in the cupboard and set on fire as soon as it was possible. And made a zombie out of said wife.

And they say Sims is game for girls.

I've done so many.... my favourite though was in Red Dead Redemption... I rode into a convent, lassoed a nun and then trailed her behind my horse for a bit.... then because I didn't want her to die yet I put her on the back, rode out to the main town (forget name) and then took her off of the horse outside the police station, set her free and then as she thanked the lord for being freed and ran away, I tossed a molotov cocktail at her and watched her burn to death. The end result was a massive shoot out alternating between the police station and the bank.

Also in GTA 4 I decided to be a serial killer and basically hooked up with women (and the gay men) over the online dating service and then found inventive ways to kill them on the dates such as a helicopter flight to the top of a tall building and then pushing them off and high speed ditches into the sea etc.

Alpha Centauri.... Ally with everyone, go to editor mode, planet busters by every city in the game. *BOOM* (also done at least once with every other incarnation of Civ)
I basically abuse anything a game gives me the opportunity to. Heck I killed pretty much everyone I could in Deus Ex Human Revolution just because I could (including my ex-girlfriend's mother.)

I have done few crazy stuff in MMOs.

In Rumble Fighter, this guy kept macroing out his stupid quotes during NHAA (no hitting at all) period. It was very grating on me so for the next round, I calmly walk around his toon then toss him off the roof. He really freaked out big time so for the next round, he brutally committed genocide on everybody in the map since he was trying to get me and I'm expert at run and hide. It was kinda amusing to see his reaction.

One time during WoW's dungeon, this idiotic DPS kept bragging how he was awesome and doesn't need healing. He run into the mob and I didn't heal him. He scream in profanity to me and I just shrug and log off.

Nowadays, I usually play single player games and I very rarely go crazy. Most of the times, I'm mellow and usually gaming that reflect my personality, which is just taking it easy. I'm glad that few games allowed me to commit the genocide like Morrowind and Two Worlds.

Playing through the original Deus Ex again recently, I've been taking my typically non-violent path, using non-lethal solutions where ever possible. At least towards humans. Every cat I encounter, however, gets shot, stabbed or otherwise violently killed.

Whenever I play Assassins creed I murder civilians, game says that Ezio didnt kill civilians...but if I am playing as Ezio and I am in his memories how come I am killing them?

After something like 5 playthroughs of Hitman Blood Money (it's a good game, btw), I decided to try a playthrough in which I kill absolutely everyone with kitchen knives. I didn't succeed in the end, but running after people in kitchen knife killer mode felt really messed up (especially when it triggered the "keep on stabbing" animation).

Memories are kind of unreliable and not always true. You can also mix up memories of dreams with memories of real life.

Usually I'm pretty mellow in games as well (the Fallout 3 thing is sorta an anomoly for me). I actually felt horribly guilty after pillaging a town in Mount and Blade when I needed money/supplies. And I can NEVER play an evil character if given the choice, because I can't bring myself to choose the evil choices :P.

My roommate, however, does some unintentionally horrible things in the name of justice, especially in Mount and Blade. For instance, during battles if he saw someone who looked ragged or poor, he would decide that that person needed sparing. Unfortunetly, the only way of ensuring they didn't die was to knock them out. And the only practical way of knocking them out...was running them over repeatedly with his horse. Which he did. Many many times. As his entire army looked on.

Then he made a point of hunting up a ransom broker instead of a slave trader, so that the man could go back to his family.


Oh, and he has a famous story about playing Star Wrs Bounty Hunter. Someone ticked him off, so he tazed them, tied them up, set them on fire, then threw them off a cliff, in that order. And don't even get me started about his stories about Mercenaries (one involves him rifle-butting an old lady to death trying and get her to move off a pile of explosives he set)

I don't know whether to admire him or be afraid of him :P
You know, considering how sick and depraved he thinks (knows?) gamers are, you'd think he'd be a little more careful not to piss us off -__-

Another original Sims classic - Wait until all the family are at home and invite as many friends as possible round.

Put them all in one room and (I don't recall if I used a cheat for this) then remove all doors. Get one Sim to let off a firework and then watch as they all burn and the fireman runs around the house without an entrance to the sound of frantic screaming. Oh happy nostalgia....

I never got that far.;(
See, the reason for my behaviour was piracy. I didn't have the copy protection thingies [map coordinates for other towns]. So i lashed out on the populace. ;D

In Deus Ex I knocked a lot of people unconscious in the Liberty level then put them face down in the water.
