Hi, i just noticed my Train Simulator 2012 has been upgraded to 2013, for free. Is this real? I thought customer still have to pay USD30 for the game?

Anyway, i'm happy. So far the GUI is much more refined and improved.
Greedy publisher wanting money.

As far as I'm aware, if you own any of the previous versions of Railworks on Steam, you will receive a complementary update to whatever the current version is. Heck, how I got Train Simulator 2012 on Steam was by getting an original retail copy of Railworks, activating it on Steam, and I got the newest version.

(EDIT: I, too, got Train Simulator 2012 upgraded to 2013.)

Really? That's good to hear. Now i feel bad for the developer (and publisher), by thinking they're greedy earlier this year by releasing buggy product and make no effort to improve it. (Because TS 2012 was pretty poor in term of performance and UI).

But now i'm satisfied. Very little performance hit so far, and 360 pad support is very unexpected but nice addition. I got my answer, just let this thread fade into obscurity.
