Didnt think much of it, bought it at release to get some free DLC which was crap as well. When you play one of the levels, then play it in reverse, you know that the devs were running out of ideas, more tech demo that game to me.

Honestly as a noob I still get confused with trolling. I'm constantly hijacking threads and going way off subject and I just assumed that was part of it, but no one has called for my head (well two people but screw them) so I'm not going to worry about it.

If you got the game on PC then you didn't need to get it at release to get the Sewers DLC. The Sewers DLC is given to all newly purchased copies, so being as the game is Steamworks, you can only buy it new on PC. (I did read that there was some issue on early release where it disappeared from some users, but that seems resolved). For console versions, there was a Sewers DLC single use code for them to use, so those who got second hand/rental copies of the game couldn't use the Sewers DLC.

All they provided was some more mutant killing areas anyway, and one of the sewers (Plateau Sewers if I remember right) had a large arena type battle area near the start.

Correct, the Scorchers DLC adds a few extra missions which form the mini Scorchers story and includes a boss fight. The DLC also includes a nailgun with three ammo types (standard nails, rebars - concrete reinforcement bars, rail gun nails) and allows you to continue playing after the end of the game. It doesn't change the main game story.

Additionally, the DLC includes the latest patch for the game.

I got the 360 version, sewers was free for pre orders here, iirc I may have got 2 codes on preorder, one was definately a sewer system, maybe the other was for some sort of LTD Edition of the game, but I seem to remember 2 codes for some reason, could be mixing the second one with some other game though..

A colleague at work got the 360 version (not pre-order, was in a bargain bin actually) and he had a sewers code in the box as it was not second hand.

There was some pre-order DLC though, the Anarchy Edition bonus items (Fists of Rage, Double Barrel Shotgun, Rat Rod vehicle, Crimson Elite Armour). However, I got that for PC in my recent retail disc purchase, I think because there are still copies of the game that contain the pre-order bonuses that didn't sell at the time.

my advice would be to watch some gameplay videos and read/watch some reviews before buying games. more often than not you can get bored by games just by watching them on youtube. sure you might say that you are not as involved and... that might in fact be true, but i mean... havent we played enough games to know what to look for?

second advice would be to stop getting hyped over new games and just go and play some good old quake 2 or simillar. while some genres are getting innovations and stuff, some of the genres just get random unneeded bullshit which is nothing more than a timewaste - both for players and devs.
