I guess I'll take another stab at it...
Still not sure what unrevealed game mechanics is hinting at....
You do need speed to run away from shit in this game...
Everything else seems to hold true to this game:
How about Silent Hill? (the first)
This "revealed" should just mean that some elemtents are hidden and not directly shown by the game.

Added new, but not very popular features to its genre.
