Meh, I ended up snagging both Colin Mcrae Rally 2005 and Megarace 3 after all, even if I won't play CMR, I've spend more on food, so why not pick it up on the off-chance I'll like it =)

Oooh, Capcom. :)
I'd like to add I'd also love Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Breath of Fire, and Mega Man.
I know they released Street Fighter II free as a flash game recently..and they're all about digital distribution..
If you are in talks with them that is super awesome!!
Grateful for your efforts as well, you guys go above and beyond.

SSI on GOG would be pretty awesome indeed. Maybe Bluebyte also, since they are under Ubisoft as well. Looks like there could be interesting opportunities for the times ahead... ;)
From Wikipedia, I see that they were first sold to Hasbro Interactive, and then were killed off when Infogramers bought Hasbro. Infogramers later merged with Atari, so I'm afraid the licensing rights for the Microprose games may have gone to them. Not sure though.

Any idea where Microprose stuff landed?? Just curious..
Buh.
I was just talking about the old Gold Box games with some D&D nerd-friends the other day. If those showed up here, they'd pretty much be an insta-buy.

So I bought Colin and add my little brick to this week bestseller. Personal favourite is CMR 4 but 2k5 is only avaiable :-). Hope fro Dirt in future ...

I just want to thank the gog team for alerting us that a game leaves the lineup (as sad as that fact may be). Sadly, I'm not much of a racing game enthusiast, so this particular week doesn't really give me much value.
Still, thanks on both counts, for the info and the awesome deal.

System Shock 2 perhaps? (I'm guessing EA holds the rights to that franchise, though if it is in licensing limbo like people say it is then I wouldn't be surprised if SS and/or SS2 never hit GOG, won't stop me from hoping though)

Disregard this post, I fail at reading. :P
Seriously though, this is why I prefer games that are entirely grown inside the company. Great games shouldn't vanish because car companies get uppity.

Surprise! I said this:
"I agree. It sucks for the people that still don't know GOG and who may arrive after these games are pulled from the catalogue, but for the ones who are already here... Well, I already own Toca 3 and CMR 2005 for unlimited time, so I think it was really a good thing."
Well, now I get this email from GOG:
-----------------------
To attention of all TOCA Race Driver 3 and Colin McRae Rally 2005 owners
Dear GOG.com Customer,
Thank you for purchasing TOCA Race Driver 3 and/or Colin McRae Rally 2005 from GOG.com.
As we announced on GOG.com, TOCA Race Driver 3 and Colin McRae Rally 2005 had to be removed from our games catalogue as per our licensing agreement with Codemasters. Due to some expiring licenses within the games, Codemasters is obliged to withdraw copies of TOCA Race Driver 3 and Colin McRae Rally 2005 from all sales outlets within a certain time period, which includes GOG.com and its servers.
This means that the games won't be available to re-download from your GOG.com account as of August 29th 2009 (TOCA Race Driver 3) and October 29th 2009 (Colin McRae Rally 2005). We know it would be ideal for these games to be available for re-download forever and we're working on this, however we kindly ask you to download the games and back them up on CDs, DVDs or flash drives.
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Well, am I the only one who feels ripped off? I only bought this games because I thought I would keep them.
First the CD-only Overseer release and now this. For me, GOG doesn't have a flawless track record anymore.
