Meh, everything should be a reward when you run like rat in maze you deserve pellets yes?
I really don't believe GOG would bother locking / limiting rep for any community member or . . . they shouldn't IMHO. Probably it is just the community seeing yet another thread about your rep and reacting to it with a less than favorable response.

Not when you repeatedly pull the wrong lever.

Of course, even standing as an example for "don't do this" will be treated as a reward and something to strive for to some people (simply due to standing out and being recognised, or due to "going against the norm"). So you'd get fans either way.

Executer: Maybe the real problem is, does you watch your Rep too closely :)
Voilà.
This is what you get for abusing the system. ;)

This the the more level-headed and likely circumstance, as opposed to Here Be Rep Dragons. Again.

GameRager: It was locked seemingly to 2 rep up per day, and about 5 rep down per day, for some reason. Thing is this time it went down 6 in one day, which i've never seen happen since they limited the rep on this account. 5 down per day maximum is all i've ever seen.

Aningan: Since it's locked at +2 a day, maybe because you got +1 for the day rep and +5 for the question it broke it and then it just auto-corrected itself. So the defect it's not that it decreased from -28 to -34 but the fact that it first increased to -28. That is the defect (I work as a QA engineer...). Considering that yesterday I seem to remember you were on -36 with +2 it would make it -34 today. That would make it correct and in line with the +2/-5 limit.
AHHHHHH!! number-crunching! i thought i'd finally got away from World of Warcraft and yet it haunts me here :)

Taleroth: I like the theory that the forum developers/admins just set it so that your rep was always negative.
avatar
Miaghstir: They should've set it so it says "GameRager" rather than a number.
Indeed. We need a new system i.e. everyone whose rep drops below, say -10, will have their name and rep changed to GameRager. Make them have the same avatar as well.
Funny now this thread, which was just a legitimate question, is downrated as well. Morons be here it seems.

I meant this happened all before I made this thread, not after. I made no rep related threads today before this one.

I dunno whether to + or - 1 this comment....I don't get your tone with this. 0.o
