GameRager: Tell that to the others with high reps....if they lost a bunch of rep they'd be whining about it too or at least checking into it.

It's more about feeling slighted than worrying about it, and wondering what happened out of curiosity.
Yeah ofcourse, I can understand the curiosity about oddities in the site mechanics, and there have been incidents before of rep jumping up and down.

Aningan: Didn't you say in another topic where you complained about rep that GOG staff made it so you can only go +2 rep a day. Because you were known to rep abuse and they locked it at +2 especially for you. No ? I seem to remember you saying that.
avatar
GameRager: It was locked seemingly to 2 rep up per day, and about 5 rep down per day, for some reason. Thing is this time it went down 6 in one day, which i've never seen happen since they limited the rep on this account. 5 down per day maximum is all i've ever seen.
Since it's locked at +2 a day, maybe because you got +1 for the day rep and +5 for the question it broke it and then it just auto-corrected itself. So the defect it's not that it decreased from -28 to -34 but the fact that it first increased to -28. That is the defect (I work as a QA engineer...). Considering that yesterday I seem to remember you were on -36 with +2 it would make it -34 today. That would make it correct and in line with the +2/-5 limit.

If true it's a bot/script/etc that needs to be corrected so that questions solved adding more than the allowed max rep limit on an account per day don't get reverted.

Dunno how tough this is to implement for them though.

It gives you a bigger shield against downreps. See it like that. ;)
And IF it works that way.. a high Rep proves continuity over time if it has a daily low cap.

Yes but if it works this way it also messes up my getting rep from solves.

Bah, they should make the uprep per day on my account 5 like the downrep limit seems to be. Then it'd be easier for me.

Life is never easy unless your filthy rich.
Bah.. time for a quick masturbation. Or not. I would decide with a coin flip but I haven't got those. So ultimately I'm clueless what to do.
I like the theory that the forum developers/admins just set it so that your rep was always negative.

Has anyone ever told you that sometimes it's best to just not speak? This is one of those times. Keep that kind of thing to yourself.

They should've set it so it says "GameRager" rather than a number.

Wouldn't that be redundant when parallel to my name above? ???

Is there a better sign for "random" or "unknown" - other than a question mark - though?

Maybe "±∞"?
