I gained 6 points today from questions and uprates by other goggers, and a few minutes after I noticed it it's gone back to where it was. Is this a bug? Or are mods adjusting reps using bots for some reason? None of my posts are low rated today so I dunno what could be the cause. Anyone else experience this?

(This post is high rated to prevent the rep bombing that happened while I was signed off to this post and all the others this page, so as to get either staff notice so I can ask them for an official response or get more input from everyone else.)

I had -34, then -28 from getting a solve for a question from another gogger and 1 point for the new day making it -28, then a few minutes later it's -34 again.

It could be a bot setup to monitor for and automate reverting of possible rep abuse by users, and it saw the increase and marked it as abuse and reverted. Or something else. I dunno either way.

Just a posibility... you might be at a positive reputation again, but as GOG is funny sometimes, they just hardcoded a minus in front of your Rep :)

It's odd, to be sure. If I was hit by a bot that regulates rep abuse by accident I hope staff give me those points back as IMO I earned them. :|
Or the retards here noticed you climbing, and ganked you. AGAIN.

Which is the more believable scenario than those you proposed.

When I last was here, which was 2 days ago (a little gaming session) your rep was -33 if memory serves. So.. nothing major but it's a downhill. =)
I opened a bunch of threads as tabs a while ago and in some you were -28 and in the rest you were -34, so at least it wasn't a hallucination.

6 rep in 2 minutes? And no posts low rated when there should be if people were responsible for the rep drop?

Not as likely as this answer or others.
And didn't people at one point agree that caring about virtual reputation was for people who suck.
I got a star couple days ago.
I'm so happy! \o/ =P

Confess, you totally wanted to do that and now blame it on the poor GoG developers ;)

I haven't got the least clue on that, but I *THINK* that I've read about a maximum impact on somebodies reputation from down-voting a posting per day? So, maybe you/your postings had reached that value and the additional impact was assigned just now?

I dropped 6 rep in 1-2 minutes...must be a rep abuse/etc bot error or something else.

I just feel like I earned it for once(I rarely get solves for questions) and felt slighted.

When I up or down a post, their rep doesn't change immediately. Maybe it needs X amounts of ±-rating to move 1 rep point....?

Usually if this is the case your rep goes down as people low rate posts, and you'd see posts going low rated as that happened...not so here.

Yes, that's correct. And usually if a poster gets alot of downratings and goes down many points they also notice thread posts going low rated as well. I checked all my posts today and yesterday and no change.

Also if that were the case it'd take a bit longer than 2 minutes to move someone down 5-6 rep.

Well, solving other peoples problems is somewhat satisfying. (but solving my own mental problems don't seem to be my forte) And in that case, it a bit of a pickle.
Well, as I see it. You are level upping in a wrong way. Have no reason to explain that.
You are always here. =P
And answering nicely without bashing anyones head in verbally.

Edit: And you can quote without problems. =)
