Hi there before asking my question, because this is my first post here I'll say a little about myself.
My name is David, I'm 21 and I love old games.
They're almost always better than today’s games, as they're usually much harder and longer and because they're old, cheaper.
My philosophy is why spend £40 on Rayman Raving Rabbits for the Wii which nets you 4 hours of game play, when you can buy Ocarina Of Time on the VC for £7, or Duke Nukem 3D from this very site for £4.40? (With the current exchange rate $6 is £4.40, at least that’s what was taken from my bank, lol. I miss the days of $2=£1 XD)
But as long as you're having fun, who cares?
I actually have a fairly successful youtube channel where I review the golden oldies and this site will help me expand my range.
But basically the build up to my question is thus.
I was informed of this site by a friend who told me that games like Day Of The Tentacle and Monkey Island were available to buy from here, but in all of my searching, they don't seem to be.
Now while I am disappointed at that, I have found a ton of classics and I really must commend this awesome site for that.
Games that I used to love but haven't played in ages like Duke Nukem 3D, Battlechess (I loved that on the AMIGA when I was a kid) and MDK.
I've even been able to buy games I'd never played before like Duke Manhattan and Earthworm Jim 3.
So while I'm disappointed that I won't be able to finally try DOTT and MK, this has softened the blow.
But now finally I am onto the question and I apologise in advance to all for such a long build up, but I felt it was only right to kind of introduce myself and also praise this awesome site.
So it is simply this, were these 2 games ever on this site?
Because if not then I wonder why he'd tell me this and also if not, another question now, do you think they ever will come on here?

Day of the Tentacle was never on here, and so was Monkey Island. They are, however on the Wishlist, begged by many. I hope the games you mentioned come out, but hey, it's LucasArts.
I feel your pain friend, I had been looking for the original Monkey Islands 1 and 2 for years before I found them a few years ago in the form of the Monkey Island Collectors Edition which had all 4. Here in australia, there are still some lucasarts games you can purchase for a cheap price:
http://www.gamehead.com.au/PC-Games/Action/Full-Throttle-PC-Games/92897 Full Throttle
and
http://www.gamehead.com.au/PC-Games/Action/Sam-and-Max-PC-Games/92899
Sam and Max Hit The Road
These are $9.45AU which would be approx $4.43UK pounds
I know these aren't the games you requested, but Im just trying to help out :D
These games were never on the site. There was some speculation before as to whether Lucasarts would join up, but the general consensus seems to be that its unlikely as Lucasarts doesn't like sharing their property with other distribution systems. But, who knows what'll happen in the future, but as of now there has been no word from GoG that they would be coming.
For the lucasarts adventures, they released 6 disc compilations in the late 90s that were brilliant value, you might be able to have a look on ebay for them, the play flawlessly with scummvm. You got non-adventures in there too but even those were excellent, Afterlife springs to mind, that games was better than gold, pure platinum.

Cheers for the answers :)
I'll take a look both on e-Bay and through those links, so thanks :D
As for Lucas, I know they're being a pain with the VC and Zombies Ate My Neighbors, which is why I've since re-bought a SNES. I was addicted to that game as a kid, lol.
If you try for Monkey Island on ebay expect to pay £20 or more for the cdrom version of both of them. Even at that price I would still heartily recommend the purchase. The Monkey Island bounty pack ships in a 3 disc set with Monkey Island 1, 2 and 3. Forget the 4th one as the general consensus among Monkey Island fans is it doesn't excist(Many die hard fans would argue the same about the 3rd but its still many times better then the 4th).
Day of the tentacle is much cheaper at around £4-10 quid for the cd rom version even in the mulitpack for sam and max hits the road, another great adventure you should check out if you haven't already.

Well the Sam And Max games are on Steam and have price crashed quite often, but from the trailers they don't look like my type of thing. Which is odd because I'm loving there other creation (Strongbad), but that's just for the humour really :)

I was more talking about Sam and Max hit the road, the orignal Lucas Arts version. Not the newer take on Sam and Max by Telltale. The orginal is very much at the pinicle of Lucas Arts point and click adventures with Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island.

Aha, I didn't realise that there were earlier ones, cheers for the heads up bud :)
Ooooo, speaking of point and click games, Disc World.
My brother used to have 1 and 2 and I got really far into one and then the P.C went berserk and died. I was crushed and I forgot all about it, so I'll have to look for those too :D

Look for Discworld Noir as well, that was infinitely superior to the first 2 discworld game's
I would wait a bit with the Discworld 1 and 2 as there have been talk about making them freeware.
