Since we are already on topic... may I ask how exactly rep increases or decreaes? The only thing I'm sure of is that by answering a question you get a +5 boost.
Not that I find rep much important, mine is just curiosity, since I really don't understand how it works.
An example: one day, two different users gave me a "+1" on two different posts (or, at least, so they said), yet my rep increased only by 1.

milito3515: Try to stop the B conduct, just that.

About the A point, how the FUCK publish a Youtube video is considering as a breaking of Copyright laws?
avatar
Petrell: Try telling that to copyright industry. At least they consider even linking to be copyright infrigment and are trigger happy with their lawsuits. Do remember that even torrents are mere links to material and do not contain any copyright infrigting material themselves. Same goes for sites that point to 'third party' streaming services.
Well, that's their problem, don't you think it?

a +1 is not the same as +1 rep. but it works incremental (somewhere there was someone who calculated how much rep a +1 actually gives...) . You also get +1 rep for making a post each (half?) day. However, you can not get more then 5 rep per day via forum posting and +1'ing. You can get more, I believe, if someone marks your question as correct in an question thread.

You can also loose max 5 rep through -1'ing each (half?) day. However, the person who calculated the reps found out that out need more +1's than -1's for rep adjustments, so the system is actually biased towards down repping... go figure...

milito3515: Trolls, dude, stupid trolls. Also, and sadly, there are a lot of idiots who doesn't know when they must to give -1.
Just check my reputation.
Frankly I have not yet observed massive decreases in rep on the GOG forums that couldn't be explained with something else than just random trolling - of course there's been unjustified downrepping but it usually seemed explainable. Now, frankly I don't have a general idea of what kind of stuff you post here but a quick google search revealed threads where you:

- couldn't afford a game and asked for discount codes
- told a user that he should bugger off when he asked a Steam related question (while you were still new here)
- gave away a "DRM free copy of Dear Esther" uploaded to DropBox or something (a thread that actually got closed by staff which doesn't happen often)
- constantly complain about your downreps being unjustified trolling (also in this thread)
- accuse others of hypocrisy related to piracy (in this very thread)
- posted a seemingly non-sensical thread with a weird doodle of a stickman gunning down other distributors which seemed like an attempt to get some rep by acting like a GOG fanatic who hates every competitor to an irrational degree

Not all of them were low rated, in fact many of your posts were high rated (probably largely due to people trying to do some damage control) and I don't accuse you of having bad intentions *but* one can see where some people's anger aimed at you may have come from and insisting that it's "just trolling" really isn't the right thing to do and will probably even further fuel that anger and lead to further downrepping.

I see, thanks! Here is a useless +1 for you! ;)
I think one of this days I'll try posting only two times at a distance of 12 hours, just to see what happens.

Until they sue you because you posted link to infriging matererial or GOG for allowing it. Stupid, I know, but that's how copyright industry works.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but you're completely right.

I think that Snoopy Dogg Dog guy is a repper, so I assume it's got to do with gangsters and porn or something.

This post reminds me of how awesome the Simpsons was, and how lousy it is now.

It's not that hard to believe, his point is completely valid and well detailed.
I nonetheless want to commend you for seeing that.
