I've been a member of GOG for over a year. I've bought a lot of games, because I love old computer games, and I love that I can have fun without spending an arm and a leg, you know? My only problem is, that since the Activision acquisition, we haven't seen Quest for Glory. King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, and Police Quest were all released by Sierra a few years ago in a dos box format, and I bought them all. There was no QFG. Why can't we get that jam now? Come on GOG. You know it's good. Please give it to us.
I would also accept the Laura Bow series, especially Dagger of Amon Ra, which was fantastic.
Not to complain though. This is my favorite retail site, and I check every Tuesday and Thursday to see what's coming.
Remember, Vivendi never released the QFG Collection when they were releasing all those DOSBOX repacks in stores, despite a ton of demand.
I'd rather have to wait and them all patched correctly and 100% working than to have it done half-assed, not that GOG would do that, but you know how it is.

I would buy like 10 copies instantly!
(that's not actually totally untrue. I had some gift codes saved up from contests and bought like 7 copies of Arcanum for my friends to play, so it could seriously happen again with QfG)

Yeah, that always frustrated me that they never released it again. I love those games, but you're right. I'd rather wait until they're all patched too. They were buggy games to begin with, so I'm sure it's no small task. I just hope someone's working on it!
I want all of Sierra's classic games on GOG. And not just the later games in the series, like KQ and SQ is. But most of all, I want all Leisure Suit Larry games, and all of the Police Quest games. They're basically two of my favourite adventure game series of all time.
I was not quite as into LSL and PQ, but I got them when they were re-released and they all worked fine. You might want to try and hunt down those versions to tide you over.
Back to QFG, I guess that's true, they were a little buggy to start with. But if I could just get back to Mordavia for a few days, I feel like my life would be more complete.

Yeah, I gotcha. I miss it too :)

I know it's not the same as playing, but for a trip down memory lane...

I can't believe how good that intro is. And listen to the narrator's voice. That was one of the best adventure games ever put together. It has incredible voice acting.
I keep thinking about the mad scientist who thought pizza was one of the foundations of scientific progress.
If you haven't already played it, perhaps the free Quest for Glory II remake could tide you over.

Posts for great justice! I want to see QG on GOG as well. When's the last time someone combined RPG with old school adventure gaming? Never, to my knowledge. QG is in a class by itself in that regard
I think all the Quest-games belongs on GOG, but yeah. The Quest for Glory-series is in my view Sierra's best work, and it's really sad that it hasn't been rereleased like all those other Quest-games. I would love it if GOG got the rights to sell it in their next batch of Activision-titles (assuming we get one).

Thanks for the link. I might have to try that out. Did you have any problems running it on your computer?
I have Windows XP and it worked just fine. Since it's a remake, you don't even need to download DOSbox.
Yeah, I've played the AGD remakes o fKing's Quest 1 and 2 and QFG 2, and they're all top notch. That reminds me, has anyone played AGD's commercial adventure title? I've always wondered if it was any good.
