I have Quest for Glory V in my collection, which I picked up from a sales bin some years ago. I still haven't played it for more than five minutes. I'm not optimistic it will run on my modern PC, but it would be nice if the series was released on GOG.com. That said, I want Leisure Suit Larry 6 first, since I never got to finish that due to some bug.
I'm also curious to know the reasoning behind not releasing full series, and only the last three of them. Space Quest IV, V and VI. King's Quest V, VI and VII. If the same would apply for all the series, we'll only get QFG III, IV and V, and LSL 5, 6 and 7. It's a bit annoying, since the full KQ and SQ series can be bought on Steam. Not sure of the difference though.

The remake you mean.
I do like QfG2vga, but I prefer the original because of the memories. AGD did a fantastic job though, I wish they could have worked their magic on more of the older sierra games.
I'd expect to see the series on here at some point, but 3 and 4 are a little bit buggy, which may cause a few issues.
I recently reviewed QFG4 for Abandonia, and it's possibly my favourite of the series (always stuck between 4 and 1).

Speculation says they'll release the earlier games once the new lower price point is introduced (or I guess pack it in for the higher price..giving it free to anyone who already bought it?)

On Steam, the full packs each costs $19.99. If Activision want to maintain the same price, GOG have to introduce a new price point or split the pack into two half-packs to fit their highest price point ($9.99).

Hmmm, that makes sense, although it's €9.99 on the European steam (at least here in Norway). Which means the older titles have to cost $5.99 to make the GOG versions worth it (only taking the economical aspect into account).

They are buggy on newer systems, but not in DOSBox. Also, the New Rising Sun patches will fix the clock-related issues on many systems. Really, there are lots of ways to run the old Sierra games on modern systems, and since they already use DOSBox for all the older emulation, the first four QfG games will run fine. The only one I'm not certain of is getting QfGV to run on Vista/Win7, but I'm sure they could figure that out...
Btw, GOG has King's Quest IV, V and VI, not V, VI and VII...
