Just wondering how many fellow gogers play Quake Live. I know technically, it's not a gog, but it's a remake of a gog! :D
Search function doesnt bite!

Man, so many people are OCD about the search function. Let me guess, you're hoping to get noticed and become a mod, right? Why resurrect dead threads just because they might be talking about the same topic? According to your logic, it's only a matter of time before we should probably never make a new thread again.
This is so we don't have redundant posts. It cocks up the forum with unwanted copies of the same damn thing. Besides, I do actually have a form of OCD, so I'm allowed to point threads out...

These threads also get sidetracked so easily that it's hard to resurrect dead threads anyway. For example, this thread is now about resurrecting old threads, and it's going to be very difficult to bring the conversation back around to Quake Live.
... so, to attempt: no, I haven't signed up. I'm currently on secondment and my FPS-capable PC is overseas :(. Hooray for Puzzle Pirates and Pirates! !
To be on-topic, yes, I played a lot of quake live, since the closed beta, and until shortly after it went open beta. I would've kept playing, but one day, the main page just kept displaying the "downloading tutorial " or something like that, and it wouldnt show the servers. I tried reinsintalling the plugin, redownloading the files, reinstalling firefox, and IE, and nothing. I got the same error from another computer. So i just gave up on quake live. Im gonna try battlefield heroes now. : )

Exactly what I did... in my opinion Battlefield Heroes is so much better.

Really? Man, Battlefield Heroes bores the crap out of me. I've been in that beta for a couple months, but I've only played for about an hour total. I think Quake Live is so much more fun.
Yeah.... just my opinion. Just for some reason I can't get into Quake Live.

Maybe my problem is that I played Quake Live first. Battlefield Heroes seems so slow now after playing Quake Live that it drives me crazy. I also don't like that it's in third person.

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory was awesome, and I'd love it if they decided to release some of their classic titles like Doom on the browser.

What I've read is that they stick to games with the Quak engine first as a lot of the work already has been done.
Wolfenstein ET was my first ever online game.
I still have it installed.
just tried playing it for the first time in age's remembered i hated the game in the first place and that im shit at it, probebly wont play again ;P now battlefield heroes you say. looks interesting
