Well, let's start right away. Who's responsible for latest GOG tweets? I liked the idea of receiving the news from GOG as tweets, but lately it turned out more like spam than anything else. Why do I need to receive three or five tweets with the same message (like: "New Game on GOG ! Rayman 2: The Great Escape is now available DRM-free on GOG !" and three (!!!) other with the same purpose)? Am I total idiot that I need to be remindered every few hours, just not to forget about that super cool news?! That sucks...

I don't want to be rude, I really like all of you at GOG (because I like that idea a lot - also I bought The Witcher 2 here to support your sister company), but really? Is this really needed? Think about it...

One tweet is easy to miss, especially when you're subscribed to spammy channels like BBC, for example.
I guess you need to ask yourself one question:

Is it you that checks twitter, or is it that twitter czechs you.
mishkamasya: That doesn't count as answer... Why? Because it was obviously enough until few weeks ago.

Titanium: What?

Well, apparently it wasn't for some. Some just don't have the habit of checking channels manually.

Ever played Silent Hunter? They're obviously pinging you. Depth charges promo imminent.

It's a WW2 submarine simulator. Very good.

Here you go. Although I would start with the third installment of the series if I were you, and if the setting interests you.
Not my cup of tea. I'm tired of the never-ending WW2 in games. You can call me fantasy weirdo, highly RPG positive.

Glad i don't use twitter then, the combination of Witcher 2 emails, and the news on the site we're moderately annoying to me. "Witcher 2, 10 days left to preorder", "Witcher 2, 9 days left", yeah, i've heard You the first time.
I guess, it's because i live in Poland, and Witcher 2 promotion was a bit like Stalin, no matter where You looked, there it was, i was afraid to open a can of tuna. [an old joke].

As much as i'd love GOG lowering the self promotion level, i guess it's part of what GOG is, it's like that kid, who's really funny and always has something cool to say/show, but sometimes brags about himself a bit too much.
Then again, isn't that what twitter is for? RSS for the ego?:)
i agree with what the op says

i had this problem when i started to use twitter for a few months. It used to annoy me so much that i would message the person tweeting the same stuff over and over.

i must say that gog keeps tweeting the same stuff is pretty bad, i mean i follow green man gaming, gamersgate, steam, impulse etc strangely they just tweet their offer, news and stuff only once
you can check them out
http://twitter.com/#!/steam_games
however gog twitter handling is bad so many times the same thing

First of all, as far as I know TheEnigmaticT is the one in charge of the Twitter account; also, I don't have a problem with the repeated tweets as if you're following a lot of people on there they will most likely get lost in the mass of tweets you're seeing.
