Congrats (and kudos!), tascodlx, and thanks for your generosity, grimwerk!
Congrats tascodlx, well done!
Great puzzle grimwerk and thanks for the giveaway!

grimwerk: Once you (or someone else) figures out what's going on, you'll be confident in that knowledge. That is, there will be an "a-ha!" rather than a "looks like maybe this could be it, I think."

Or so I hope.

tascodlx: Redeemed! It was FlatOut.

Thank you, grimwerk! It was a tricky one.

Also, thanks Momo1991, some of your guesses inspired me.
Congratulations! Glad I could provide some inspiration ;-)

And thanks again, Grimwerk - that was fun!!

Excellent work, tascodlx! You're on a roll! Enjoy FlatOut. It's been my favorite GOG purchase for a long time now.

Perhaps you could sort out Austrobogulator's and Fujek's puzzles, too. Then I can feel like the forum is clear.

And thanks, too, for explaining the solution.

I was hoping something would follow soon after momo's started systematically extracting letter sounds!

One thing that some may not have noticed: The first set of 16 clues had no apparent order, and the second set was alphabetical. This was to suggest that the order of the first set was important, and that I had intentionally mixed up the second set.

Thanks for the efforts, everyone!
Genious tascodix and the other folks who tried to solve the puzzle. And thank you grimwerk for making my brain raise the white flag and proving my below average intelligence, +1 for your generosity. :)

tascodlx: Then just match up the clues and get rid of similar sounds:

B = Beaten - Ten
8 = Alienate - Alien
4 = Metaphor - Meta
6 = Forensics - Foreign

V = Ivy - Eye
M = Empire - Pyre
K = Decay - D
J = Jailhouse - Louse (yup... J + Louse = Jailhouse)

P = Pinochle - Knuckle
4 = Fortress - Tress
N = Garden - Guard
Z = Daisy - Day

M = Embark - Barque
8 = Innate - Inn
M = Golem - Goal
4 = Forgery - Jury

(proper order is determined by the first list)
wow. That's... cool.. pretty damn cool!

I find with lots of these puzzles I need to see one or two by a particular author before I can solve them myself, so hopefully you'll nail the next one!

Also, on the subject the squirrelly J + louse = jailhouse pair: The first code I tried this for had an H in it. Difficult to find a word that is the sum of aitch and another word! In the end, I settled on paycheck - peck = H. Fair enough, but groanworthy!

This!
I really loved the mechanism of this puzzle!
I tried a couple of things, but I wouldn't have gone too far, considering I'm not a native English speaker, so I was totally clueless for some words.

Thanks for the fun^ ^.
Congratulations and well done, tascodix ! I thought there was another step, but couldn't work out what it was. Thank you Grimwerk, +1 for your generosity. :) I had that game already, so I am glad another solved it.

I don't believe I've seen Fujek's puzzle, but I have seen Austrobogulator's. It's pretty nuts. Maybe I can help elicit more clues, but I don't know.
not in! thanks & +1!! :DD
