Could we please have public GOG profiles that we can link to so our friends now what games we own, what games we have on our wishlist, etc.?

If your game shelf and wishlist are optional and opt-in, you won't have to worry about that.

Having public profiles that make user join date and rep more easy to find would be good. It would be helpful against people pretending to be other users... like say "rnondo84" vs "mondo84".

Granted, this feature wouldn't benefit GOG itself very much at all.

I do agree that being able to see someone's rep and join date are a good thing. The other idea we've had is to simply put that info next to an avatar in the Messages page. Other than the forum and messages, there isn't anywhere else that interactions take place, so I don't think a profile page would really be necessary (unless people wanted to show their ePeens).

I voted for this. The User's info I'd like to see is Join date, Forum rep, Wishlist, Reviews written by the user, and a button to send PMs (optional in case the user doesn't want to be bothered). That would be nice.

I'd like it if we had the option to make certain information accessible to other GOG users. Things like Steam/Origin/XBOX handles, or which multiplayer games we currently play. Some kind of public profile, yeah. No signatures, though. Those suck.

Wishlists should be public, with no opt out. We should be able to unexpectedly buy games to people who don't demand it. Especially to the people who don't demand it. They should not be able to escape us.

As long as it is an option and not on by default.
