I love Double Fine. Can't wait to get my dirty little mitts on Trenched. Still need to play Costume Quest and Brutal Legend, though.

StingingVelvet: I already own it here... shame, I would have bought it if not.
Same here, I really like it to directly support the developer.

I aksed myself if GOG will change the publisher information on the game page or if Majestico is still needed as a pass-through because of the contracts.

RamzesXIII: Still, if the sequel will come, it will be console-only, as Double Fine stated that making games for PC isn't worth it. Can't say I blame 'em.
Well, I can't say I'll blame anyone who pirates their games to play on emulators then.
It is good news they got the full rights for their own game back. Freedom! :D

Source?

Personally, I never heard Double Fine say PC wasn't worth it. In fact, last time I checked, Tim Schafer was quite optimistic about doing PC games, if only the publishers would let him. The thing is, most publishers are scared away from the PC by FUD and/or rampant piracy rates.

Here's what he says in the FAQ:

"Why no PC versions of Brütal Legend, Costume Quest, or Stacking?

As a developer we do not have final say in the sku plan for our games. That is the decision of the person investing the money, i.e. the publisher. We have much of the technology in place to produce PC versions of all these games, but there is still some more work required to make them shippable and that costs money. So far, our publishers have not elected to fund that work. Not because they hate PC Gamers, but because they don't see enough financial reward. Double Fine does care about PC Gamers, and we always push for a PC version, and will continue to do so in the future. If we ever get super stinking rich here, with enough money to fund PC versions of our games, then we will go back and make them ourselves! Oh man, wouldn't that be cool?"

You know, if Tim Schafer needs money, he really only needs to ask; I know hundreds of people who would gladly donate to a Double Fine Kickstarter project for instance. Myself definitely among them. ;)

2009 Brütal Legend – PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
2010 Costume Quest - PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade (THQ)
2011 Stacking - PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade (THQ)

Gah, i'm starting to really regret buying that Wii :(

There is no definite "no" in mentioned FAQ, but even in their usual light-humour tone you can read thing's aren't easy, regarding PC stuff. But if I ever find on their site words "Psychonauts 2" and "donation" together in one sentence, I will definitely add something to the "PC port fund" jar :)

Cheer up mate! You have a ton or two of classic games from NES/SNES/Genesis/TGx-16/much more platforms. One can't have anything ;)

Well yeah, and the backwards compatibility with gamecube games is fantastic to have, but when I first saw a video of Stacking I instantly fell in love and felt, "I MUST HAVE THIS!", went to look at the 'how to get' page, and saw Xbox and Playstation only :/

If Psychonauts 2 would go into development, it would hurt even more.
