Never played Psychonauts (was it ever on the PC? If it was I missed it) and I feel like this was some sort of crime based on the golden reviews it gets.
I have much the same problem when people talk of ICO or Shadow of the Colossus.

There is a PC version. There's also a demo, if you're interested... but the demo is fail, so I never played the full game. :/

You can play Psychonauts on Gametap for free right now and as evil as gametap is its worth it.

I orginally played it through to completion on gametap, liked it so much that I bought the retail copy from doublefines website. I felt like a criminal not paying for it to begin with.

Oh man, this is one of the games I first played on GameTap back when it was "cool" and browser free.

Nah its never actually been down sinse I found out about it well over a year ago. I think Double Fine and Schafer just want people to play the game even if they don't pay for it. I HIGHLY recommend everyone try it and if you don't like it at first stick with it to at least the 2nd or 3rd unquie area outside the camp. It just gets better and better after the first unquie area which I thought was cool but nothing special.

Yes. The beginning is a bit meh. Comparatively speaking of course.

As others have stated it's most certainly on the PC, and a quick search on Amazon UK shows it can be had for under £10. I'd highly recommend picking it up, as it's simply an awesomely fun game.
