StingingVelvet: Whether $600 is expensive in Australia or not I do not know, but I do know comparing the prices straight-up with the US is not really telling or accurate. Economies are very different, $600 in AUS is not the same thing as $600 in the US.
Friends of mine from Australia used to tell me the prices were about the same as in the US, as far as their relation to cost of living and wages.
Anyway the Xbox One is too expensive here in the US already.
The currency is really close and the cost of living in Australia is far from cheep, not that it even matters because if the mount of money you earned dictated the cost of living then Bill Gates would be playing $100 for a can of soft drink.

They are Australian dollars which carry about the same value as US dollars.
On Steam they change Australian gamers $100 USD for games. That's right I said USD!
bansama: At least you guys were given a price point. Sony still won't announce details for us - their own bloody home market. And MS? Well they can't even decide if they want to release here (they really shouldn't bother).
