That's how much they are going to be in Australia.

Such good price hey? I mean at those prices who wouldn't want to get a new console.

I'm... I'm sorry, I apologize. I can't even sarcastically pretend to support this, by any measure.
Whether $600 is expensive in Australia or not I do not know, but I do know comparing the prices straight-up with the US is not really telling or accurate. Economies are very different, $600 in AUS is not the same thing as $600 in the US.

Friends of mine from Australia used to tell me the prices were about the same as in the US, as far as their relation to cost of living and wages.

Anyway the Xbox One is too expensive here in the US already.
We're also getting shafted. It's like they're trying to apply £=$ logic to hardware now.

Edit: Whoa, wait! Hold on a minute there! I just looked up conversion rates and you're getting bargain of the century compared to the bullshit they're trying to pull here!

Thats about €6 per game more expensive, than here, so about 10%, thats pretty sucky :(
I wonder how much MS paid to get retailers to up the price of the PS4 by $150 but only up the price of the XBone by $100...

Thats about a tenner cheaper than here with the current exchange rate Euro v Aus$, according to the Gamestop preorder price.

Thats about €100 more expensive than a 500 gig superslim PS3, think I'll just buy a spare PS3..

a ps4 here is twice what an average joe would make in a month.
At least you guys were given a price point. Sony still won't announce details for us - their own bloody home market. And MS? Well they can't even decide if they want to release here (they really shouldn't bother).

The currency is really close and the cost of living in Australia is far from cheep, not that it even matters because if the mount of money you earned dictated the cost of living then Bill Gates would be playing $100 for a can of soft drink.

How much is it over there and what is the current currency?

They are Australian dollars which carry about the same value as US dollars.

On Steam they change Australian gamers $100 USD for games. That's right I said USD!

Probably a blessing in disguise.

It's getting worse because people keep buying regardless.
